  1. Yes, it is almost as disgusting as last Christmas when he took the day off to have dinner and open presents with his family. This behavior cannot be forgiven, I'm telling you.
  2. I'm fine. I just get tired of people making blanket statements about coaches or players when it appears they have not looked at the record. I've never been a huge fan of Penny, but take a look at how his team performed this past season. Is that the sign of a sh*tty coach? I don't think so.
  3. Do you have any idea about their team? Have you even looked at their record, or did you just decide to spout off like a 14 year old trying to impress his friends? Sometimes it is difficult for family to work together. Hard to separate personal from business, so to speak. Other players might have a hard times speaking freely around the son, if they happen to get t'ed off at the coach. Makes it uncomfortable for everyone.
  4. Man, that would be devastating for ISU. Should almost be illegal, but here we are.
  5. Yeah. Neither one has stats you want to write home about. Maybe they affect games in ways that don't show up in stats? I honestly don't know.
  6. I have to wonder if his schtick got to be annoying to other players. Kind of like that high school girl always saying "Call me".
  7. Bingo! If the original intent were enforced and money limited to that, the whole landscape would be much better. The way it has become is sickening.
  8. That is the problem with games like this. Many times, the guy who controls the ball is trying to show up the other players, or just show off in general.
  9. And then there are those who consciously want news to be bad so it gives them an excuse to b%$#h. As if they need an excuse.
  10. You know very few of the thousands of college players have yet to declare their intent for the portal, right? But that is OK. Just go ahead and spread mud around. Just remember to wipe of your shoes after you step in it. Might turn out to not actually be mud.
  11. But at least Denise Richards looks like.......well.......Denise Richards.
  12. I think the number of "suspected" cancels has been exaggerated, and people just pick the worst story and ran with it.
  13. Have to admit, that gave me a laugh! I get Lady Bugs a couple times a year, and when they come out, they come out in huge numbers. A car vac (cordless rechargeable) comes in handy for around windows and such.
  14. I know, but I refuse to do that. My property is bordered on two sides by large creeks and I also have a small lake. Don't want gas seeping through the soil, even though it wouldn't be much. I use a spray foam made for this very purpose. Over the years I have taken to carrying a reflective driveway marker on the riding mower and the tractor. You know the types with a red reflector on one end and a 30" or so shaft beneath that? If I find a nest in the ground, I drive on by it then grab one of those markers and lay the reflector as close to the hole as I can. Then when the sun sets, I go back out with my can of spray and a flashlight. The reflector makes it easier to find the hole in the dark so I can fill it with the foam.
  15. I can relate to that. My first tractor was an 8n. Great in their day, not so much now. These days I use a Deere tractor. Spoiled by it having four-wheel drive and power steering. Dad would have loved that. I have 40 acres to maintain. It can be relaxing except for yellow jacket season. Been swarmed more than once when mowing over the nests they build in the ground. You talk about getting cuts? Yep, been there too. Thing is, once a piece of equipment gets a taste of your blood, it always seems to want more.
  16. I have lines that divide what I will do myself or hire someone to do. Any plumbing? - definitely hired out. Electrical work? - depends. I don't mind replacing a light switch, electrical outlet or re-wiring a lamp, but things like replacing ceiling lights I leave to a pro. If I needed a window replaced, I'd hire it out, but just re-screening a storm window, I do myself. Just last fall I hired some folks to rebuild two wooden decks at my house but did stone steps at another entry door myself. While the decks are not huge, it still would have taken forever for me to do by myself. Had the roofing replaced by them as well. Maybe the way to describe it is if a job is better done by a contractor with a good insurance policy, that's the way to go. I do all the land work with my tractor, bush hog, blade and front loader.
  17. True, but a better comparison might be that the distance between bases, and the distance between the mound and home, where all the same. On the other hand, many umpires had/have their own definition of the size of the strike zone. But that is where we get the difference between design and specs.
  18. You're right about that. The term NIL has become a real misnomer.
  19. Right. They took the money and stayed.
  20. At my age, it won't be long before I can hide my own Easter Eggs.
  21. Yes. There were people "elsewhere" who claimed inside knowledge that he was transferring to Notre Dame.
  22. Back when Wander Indiana was on the license plates, I knew some out-of-state people who thought Wander was the name of a county.
  23. Indianapolis has become a place I only go to if absolutely unavoidable.
  24. Yep. He is some guy who reads this board.
