@KDB   Major props for all those player visits.  Lot of very good ranked kids. Hopefully we reel in our share!

I’m pleasantly surprised as to how many “last scheduled” visits we’re getting. If you’re not out front by a long margin (i.e. an early commit situation) you wanna be last...really hope this is a top 15ish recruiting class to give this program the talent and credibility it deserves

TJD and KB are pretty much best friends.  I can definitely see them wanting to play together at this point.  If KB wants to come, it will be to open arms from the coaching staff and players.  Franklin is also fairly close to KB. Their parents all interact often

None of that surprises me and he’d have a clean slate with Woody. Doesn’t mean I have to like it. Winning cures all but I won’t be disappointed if he doesn’t come here and I’d prefer he didn’t. But no one is asking me so, what will be will be.

Oh trust me I completely agree and I strongly feel the same way but if they’re to come back I’ll be happy.. but I agree it’s not settling with me well at all that they’re looking elsewhere when we have a new coach with real and successful NBA experience.. don’t know how they could transfer out with a coach like that at their disposal!

I don’t mind at all going into the portal and seeing what your options are in case you’re not in Woody’s plan or going to get adequate usage/playing time...but when you’re a bonefide starter and leader of a team you don’t go in conference and play against your squad. There’s plenty of options outside the conference for him to consider that would be equally as good of a fit. If being the enemy is an option to him than coming back shouldn’t be. I can’t imagine the guys returning are cool with him considering Illinois and if they are that says a lot about why our program is where it is.

Wasn’t Franklin’s meeting with Illinois supposed to happen today? Maybe we’ll get more info tonight or tomorrow.

Honestly, don’t see why two guards would leave an NBA coach to go somewhere else.. you heard Trayce say yesterday that Armaan is a big “trust” guy and isn’t the type to take a leap of faith.. he will be much more valued at IU with Woodson.. a lot of these coaches are just spitting BS to these guys to get them to come there.. I have a genuine feeling that Woodson is going to do what it takes to get these guys to the next level.. I can’t see why Armaan would leave honestly.. just wouldn’t be able to see why.. especially since Woodson was a guard himself.. he will absolutely elevate his game...

Perhaps I’m in the minority but I don’t want kids on this team who are actively exploring transfering to an in conference rival (especially UofI). I don’t care what the coaching situation is, you don’t do your teammates like that.

Natural rapport with our incoming highly regarded QB has to help.  Plus, let’s be honest, if I’m a kid, Tom Allen is a dream of a coach and a man to play for.

The rapport with McCulley makes this a no brainer. 70% of being a great receiver is having a good QB who trusts you and knows where you’re gonna be on the field. He’d be making a huge mistake not teaming up at IU. When QB1 is your boy, he’s gonna get you the ball.

Rivals think he sticking with the Buckeyes, do t really blame him, since that’s the school he really likes. However, we could snag his younger brothers, who have been reported good athletes

A lot can change between now and then. If their LB coach leaves and we find a way to beat them on the field, that I think will go a long way...coupled with the fact that he’ll be surrounded by IU fans for the next year and getting a firsthand account of how special this program has become.

DR was the first example I thought of. Scott is a better athlete than Redding though, I will say that.

He’s gotta get his 40 time down or it won’t matter to GMs. DR ran a 4.78 at the combine, The only recorded time I could find for Stevie was 4.83 and he needs to be sub 4.7

Makes zero sense. I hope he has his degree. Tough dude though.

Agreed. He is a 6-7th rounder at best...and that’s if he manages to get invited to the combine and impresses. This is Devine Redding territory. I too hope he got his degree although I heavily doubt it. Good luck to him, I hope he lands somewhere with a paycheck

Sucks a** for football apparel. I can buy 10-15 ex players jerseys from UT.. I have the option of #1 and #20. Ridiculous. Are there any custom jerseys around?

For IU gear I buy from “Indiana University Surplus Store”. They have a Facebook page and post links to sales/auctions regularly. They sell literally anything of value from IU but in batches they have athletic gear. Helmets; Jerseys; Warm Ups. You name it. All authentic, most of it is game worn. I have two jerseys from them and one helmet. Hope that helps. Otherwise you gotta find one of those custom jersey makers in Asia and hope for the best
