Did more news break? Or is this the stage we're currently in? The "we didn't get the recruit in the timeline we wanted phase."
No news break. We could be in the driver's seat. We could be completely out of it. It could be down to us and KU or another team. All could still be in. This is a very close to the vest recruitment.

Iowa baseball being investigated by NCAA. Several Iowa players withheld from line-up last week-end due to the investigation.

I get it Scott…..but look at what you actually said, which is exactly what I quoted. It doesn’t say anything about Kansas or anyone else - it says you don’t go to other message boards, which other IU sites are other message boards. It’s really not that hard to figure out….
Although you may have a point on the recent post of IUScott, he has long maintained that he doesn't go to the sites of other teams.

What a beat down. Schedule is pretty easy from now on out, but not sure we can make this up.

I was the Gary Payton of The Church of the Nazarene... No way... They called me "The Mitten."
😉
No, you misheard them. They were saying, "The Kitten".

This statement indicates that he has not narrowed the list to only 4 teams, and is inviting others to court him.

That would be a dream scenario, not sure how likely. If Woody and the crew pulled that off, colored me impressed.
Who is Dingle?

I thought most of his "offers" were actually on the table itself 😁
Yes, but they were very short time offers!

He is not a “big”
Thanks. Don't know why I thought that. In fact he looks like our missing piece.

We seem to be going for (or maybe just getting) more bigs. Wonder what the strategy is? Maybe just get the best players we can regardless of position? Maybe we are better set at wing/guard and don't necessarily need another.

I think X is coming back to IU because of Woody and a chance to show he has matured and can run a good team.
X has always had that "it" factor, and all he needs to be is smart and consistent.

I don’t know why we have to have 46 pages to argue what everyone THINKS of why x, y, and z recruit chose somewhere else.
It's just who some of us are.

Certainly. I would assume they just do a one year deal with the ability to renew that for future years, always one year at a time, once the guy has returned. No need to violate an NCAA rule when the rule has a blatantly obvious loop-hole.
How much did this Ruiz character give to Miami before NIL? That's the part that won't dry up. Athletic donations have been big business for a long time. This is just the same thing but repurposed. It will probably grow the overall pot of contributions somewhat, but schools will just have to cut back on some of the expenses that used to be covered by donations (coach salaries is my guess) and send that money to players. If the NCAA suddenly allowed schools to pay players with no stipulations and no salary cap, I don't think there is any doubt all of the big schools would do so. The money is there and long has been. It doesn't take too much creativity to channel donations to NIL opportunities and essentially pay players now. All perfectly within the rules.
Hot off the press. John Ruiz and his company, Life Wallet, appears to be in serious financial trouble. His company recently reported financial problems that could spell big trouble.
Sorry, a year late for the Boilers.

All mock drafts I've seen have Boston going #1 to IU. Just saw one that had Grace Berger going to Fever at #7, but most have her lower in 1st half of 2d round.
-
IU 7-2
MSU 5-2
UM 6-3
Neb. 4-2
Md. 4-2
Much further down
Iowa 2-4
Md. probably pre-season favorite. But faltered some and IU, Iowa, and UM right up there. Iowa has played IU and Md. which explains partially their poor start. I think IU has a favorable schedule. We play Iowa and MD. at home. We don't play UM.
