Same, though I'm on a weekend trip with the family. Trying to avoid the score until we get home Sunday evening.
You guys think i can make it without seeing the score?
No way.

I picked up a to go order at my favorite bar, and the cashier was wearing an IU Baseball hoody. I ask her about it, and it turns out she is Andrew Saalfrank's significant other. I chatted with her for a few minutes, and she said they are headed for Spring training in Arizona soon. He's with the D'backs who drafted him. He expects to be assigned to their Texas AA team which I think she said was Armarillo. She said they were hopeful he would get moved up to AAA this summer and a chance in "the show".

In Maryland at Purdue they put a ton of pressure with size/speed advantage on Loyer/Smith. I think we can do the same. The goal would be to draw Edey up to the FT line and let TJD 1 on 1 him....but I think Edey will just drop/sag which means tons of ball reversal and put his head on a swivel....maybe he picks up a cheapy or 3.
I wouldn't even mind a bit of 3/4 court pressure. Make their guards so uncomfortable. Purdue is really good but not some unbeatable force. We shoot more than 35% from 3 I like our chances. Biggest thing will be to make TJD doesn't get taken out of the game early with cheap fouls. You just know the refs will try to control this one early.
Don't think Edey will guard TJD. At least very much.

And the double dribble call besides being absolutely BS....the ref who called it didn't call right away it was like 1.5 second delay. As if some hilljack from the seats yelled double dribble and he blew the whistle.
If you have to think about it, it's likely a bad call.

Apologies gang. One of the worst predictions ever.
I will say this though. This was just a bad game. Difference I know is a good team just has a bad game and that's what this one was...just a bad game. Throw the tape in the garbage and get ready for Saturday.
Don't feel bad Yogi has your back.

It was nice being in the top 25 though... even if it was for only a few days.
If we beat Purdue, we'll still be in the top 25.

Guys on Assembly Call said they heard people talking about how Woodson talks to officials is a problem. They said that Woodson being from the NBA and how they talk to officials might be effecting how IU games are being called.
I don't know. Although CMW may jaw on the officials, he doesn't explode on them like Fran and Izzo showing them up to the crowd. I mean what do NBA coaches say to the refs, "Your mama is ugly and wears combat boots"?
I think this team does need to learn to play defense without fouling so much. It's not just the refs. Prior to the Maryland game IU committed 180 fouls in 10 B1G games compared to 151 for the opponents. The 180 was 13th in the B1G.That's 1.8 to 1.5 a game. I used the conference stats because I wanted to leave out the cream puffs. Of course, it's worse after this game.
I think JHS has to go back to basics when he's not shooting well and concentrate on his primary job of making sure the offense is running well and go from there.

Looked like JHS was mauled there
If they don't carry you out on a stretcher, it's not a foul.

TJD may have to do this himself.

Bates and JHS are combined 1-for-14, probably close to 5-6 turnovers combined too.
Guard play not good.

While we're within striking distance, we're really not showing evidence that we can come back and win. Just don't have it tonight.
Yes, have to suck it up and find a way to win.

The press is killing any mojo IU may have brought.
It’s really taking its toll and allowing Maryland to control the game.Unfortunately u r right.

Made more field goals, shooting 10% better, out rebounding them, and still down 8....
That's a pretty damn hard to figure stat.
7 -0 TO difference and foul line is the answer.

JHS still sick?

There is hope. Md. not shooting well, but staying in the game with free throws.
Need to get something from JHS.

No TOs on Md. and lots of free throws.
Our offense took an early half time.

Yes all for Bronny.

Yeah, definitely more at play here than the talent question. Some school will have to decide if the circus is worth it.
He's already signed NIL deals (Nike, Beats, and PSD) for an estimated $7.2 million or so.

XJ can’t turn it over at the rate he was turning it over in Big10 play when he returns. I think we can all agree on that. I just hope he assimilates himself into the winning culture when he comes back. Because he hasn’t always been a solid decision maker. He can’t be trying to get his. But I trust Woody to keep that from happening.
JHS and x have same TO average (2.8), but JHS averages 5 more minutes per game. But you are right this is a factor.
I think other reasons say make him and off guard or wing. The reasons are his defense and decent 3. Think he would be a big threat off the ball to shoot or drive (hopefully not to cough it up). The other team would have to pay lots of attention to him.
