Liam McFadden-Ackin hit 2 grand slams in the same inning for Northern Kentucky.
It was not the first time this has happened as Fernando Tatis, Sr. did it in 1999.
However, McFadden-Ackin went on to hit for the cycle going 5-6 with 10 RBIs.

So what if Fran gets 10 technicals at once. Do we get to shoot 20 free throws and get the ball?

I tried to link it twice and f'ed it up... Go to the Big 10 thread page 147... Good stuff
I took a look and that was the incident. Good move by the ref in stepping up and not saying anything.
Can't believe they let this guy get away with all this stuff.

I saw recently a clip where Fran stares down the referee. It may have been the MSU game. But the ref is at or near the base line and there is no play going on and he is within 8' feet or so of the ref just staring at him. Then an Iowa assistant comes over and pulls him away. You can do that and not get at least a warning? Does any one know the context of this incident?

A masterful game by JHS. It was just not the scoring, but the way he controlled the pace and played defense. Enjoy him now because if he keeps playing this way we won't see him next year unless we are watching the NBA.
MK is an underappreciated player. I think we can get him more good 3 looks.
Gallo is like a bumblebee, scientifically he shouldn't be able to do what he does, but he just keeps on doing it. He really skied on that missed dunk, but I thought Edey fouled him.
Race just keeps on chugging. A good game for him even though he didn't have a lot of numbers.
TJD showed he is a very mature player. Purdue took him out of the game scoring wise, but he took what he could get and played great defense.
The mystery card is X.

I mean Purdue has a nice team but how have more B1G teams not figured them out.
You have to pressure their guards and not all teams in B1G have the personnel to do that and score enough to win.

IU lost 5-2. I didn't watch or listen to any of the game.
Final game of series at 1 PM tomorrow.

We know what we have to do to beat them - TJD has to play Edey relatively even and then be better everywhere else.
We are probably the only team in the country that can roll out that formula and take advantage of how average Purdue is 1-4, but we need to do it. They have no answer for JHS, need him to be locked in and bring his best game as a Hoosier.
We can do this.
I agree. Having a big game for JHS does not necessarily mean scoring in bunches. If he can put lots of ball pressure on Purdue's guards along win Trey and floor general the team, we have a shot. TJD will get his, and the rest have to scrap like junkyard dogs.

Where are Auburn and Texas projected nationally? Or where would they fit in the projected B10 standings? Just trying to see is this like playing good to great early season competition that will pay off down the road for us or what?
There are a lot of baseball polls. I'm hardly an expert here.
I looked at some of the baseball preseason polls and I would say that Texas was more highly regarded as they were ranked #24 and #25 in 2 different polls. Although Auburn has been to CWS 2x in recent years, I didn't find them ranked in 2023. But I didn't look at all polls.
Collegiate did rank the top 50: Texas #25 and Auburn #31. IU was in a group of about 50 that also received votes. Maryland was # 21 and UM #44.
I didn't look at any B1G specific polls. But I think Maryland is considered the team to beat and is a top 25 team.
Texas has lost 3 times already but two of them were to top 10 programs (Vanderbilt and Arkansas).

Let’s not fret over such things, let’s fret over things like who do we need to lose?
"Just win, baby!"
We have no control over who else wins and loses.

Well I think we can all agree, finally, that there are 1000% percent coaches with more questionable morals than Rick you could hire this offseason.
So do you include a clause in his contract that he can't go to any Italian restaurants or have any in entertainment for recruits and their guests?

According to 247 the only campus he has visited is IU, and it was an official visit.
If Woody wants to play NBA ball, he needs to get guys like this one.

9 pitchers went to the mound in this game. Must've been an All-Star game.

I thought IU looked pretty tired during the game.

A JC transfer from the state of Washington according to his bio.
Did well as a starter at Tacoma CC. We'll see if he can run with the "Big Dogs".

Was anybody else shocked that beyond the last IU possession, Illinois NEVER pressed us full court?
I have no definitive answer, but they were down 1 guard and playing away.

From Bates and Galloway most likely.
We only have 3 guards in the rotation right now -- Galloway, JHS, and Bates.

Scott, I just put it up there to show where JHS is projected to go. Not to diagnose how the NBA draft works or complain about what the Pacers selections are speculated to be.
Oh come on Rico, you knew that Scott would go after that post like a bear to honey.

Iowa high as a kite. They scored 20 points on 5 3's in 89 seconds after the stare down in Carver.
I'm sure that the crowd will be vocal and loud. If Fran tries any of his BS at SSAH, he'll get run out of the building.
IU needs to find its inner dog and take it to the Hawks for 40 minutes. Hawks escaped last time and Race got injured. We lost to them in B1GT last year in a well played game. We have plenty of reasons for wanting to bite their heads off.
Remember this team started playing their best at end of last season. I expect this to happen again
TJD will be gunning for his championship.
