When I was a kid, we had similar instructions on how to check for razor blades and things like that.

I remember that. Sick. Prior to that.... we had tons of kids coming to our door for Trick or Treating.  Seemed we never bought enough candy.  And had to start handing out money.... late in the evening. Honestly, the kids preferred the candy.

Since then.... less and less kids coming to our front door.   I told Mrs. mile that this year, I don't expect many kids coming due to the pandemic.  But buy bags of candy anyway.  Candy that we like.... to eat for a whole year, if we have to.   LOL

1968, my freshman year at IU...saw Jose in concert at IU Auditorium, if my memory serves me.  My first true contemporary music concert.   LOL   😋

Me too !.  Also saw Bobby Kennedy at the IU Auditorium.  Front row seat.  What struck me was his blue eyes.  Never will forget it.

Unique that you and I were students at IU at the same time.

Also saw this guy perform at IU's Auditorium.... when he was much younger.  Played for ever. Loved every minute :

As you can tell with guys like Leal, Galloway, Kaufman, Geronimo, etc, Archie puts a premium on high character, high academic kids.  Jalen Washington is in that category, has a major that lines up with IU, and has a good early relationship with the program.

Can the Hoosiers pull the first kid out of Gary to Bloomington in 60 years?

Thanks for the update Mike.  Really appreciate it.

This has nothing to do with Jalen. However, Gary West, where he attends school was brand new.  And one of my roommates at IU, applied for a teaching job there, though his degree was not in education,  and was accepted, in order to avoid being drafted during the Viet Nam War.
