  1. How is that already known? Seems awfully quick.
  2. Most likely, but I’d guess that they would spin it that the new coach likes him more than the old one did.
  3. It seems like the 2 best players to do that with were Matthews and Ellis. When they were both out it hurt. I’m glad to see more players like that coming along. Sounds like Lucas (the RB that just signed) will be similar.
  4. I assume if he commits he would be the starter. Would that cause a transfer?
  5. Yep. I’ll just add that I’m going to cheer for him (almost) no matter where he goes.
  6. Also interest that there’s a WR and a rumored RB on board with no OC. Have to wonder if there isn’t something they’re hearing that we don’t know yet.
  7. Almost wrapped up our little chicken coop. Not to brag, but I have to be one of the best there is as far as far as dragging projects out. I bought the materials and built it in about 2 nights after work. Paint and trim took about a day. Another to finish the trim. Now I need to wait to paint the trim white but the plan to paint today was rained out.
  8. Opening my first BCBS of the year. I decided to go with the Cherry Wood which makes it the first variant I’ve ever had. It’s very tasty and dangerously smooth for the 14.2% ABV it lists.
  9. This is very true. My wife grew up in southern Indiana in Louisville suburbs and I’m from the Fort Wayne area. She is NOT a fan of thanksgiving up there.
  10. Guys on the roster are Holt-Bennett, Matthews (no clue what he does next), David Baker, Javon Swinton, and Jaquez Smith. I think those are all the guys that played last year.
  11. I’d argue the defense was good enough Iowa 34-6 14 scored by Iowa on pick 6s. That’s 20 points given up by the defense. UM 29-7 UM was held to mostly field goals. It was 17-7 at half. One UM touchdown came after IU fumbled on their own 31. Penn St 24-0 The offenses longest drive was 8 plays. That drive ended in an interception. This defense certainly wasn’t dominant, but before the injuries set in they were good enough to give you a chance in every game.
  12. I agree. I don’t know the details of a hire like this, but I can’t imagine it helps to say “we want you to run our offense and be accountable for the results. Also, you have to keep these position coaches regardless of how they fit with your scheme because we just hired them.”
  13. Regardless of injuries, the defense played good enough to beat MSU and UC. In some of the blowouts they played ok considering what the offense gave them. The only games the offense played well in were Idaho and WKU. Outside of those games (and the first drive) they never seemed in sync.
  14. Sounds a little cheaper than what I saw. I was happy to get a cherry wood for about $13 at one stop. I have a few previous years in the cellar, too. I’ll probably do a tasting with some family around Christmas.
  15. Any luck? I got a few bottles of the original and a cherry wood. I saw some of the other ones (Blantons was one) but they were a little pricey for me.
  16. I’m officially turning the corner to those now. I picked up a few at the store this week. I just opened a Breckinridge Vanilla Porter. It’s one of the first craft beers I remember seeing.
  17. Those were my first guesses, too. They all had high expectations and have struggled early so they seem like obvious choices.
  18. A kettle (or kettles) and the WSM make a great combination. Both are looking good!
  19. You too! I always take off thanksgiving but I also always cook something for the Super Bowl. What cookers are you putting everything on?
  20. Sadly no grilling for Thanksgiving here. The family we’ll be with prefers a traditional roasted turkey.
