  1. How do you do your tv setup? Anything outside? We go through this for the Kentucky Derby every year. This year we actually had a TV fall. Iowa is growing on my list of disliked teams. Getting Craig hurt. The allegations of racism made it grow, and Barta put them firmly on the disliked list.
  2. Here’s our older dog meeting a chicken on our house. Fun fact: we don’t have chickens.
  3. Mile was also adamant about warning people against using the standard wire grill brushes. They can be dangerous when the wires come off. A safer option is to use a ball of foil. He posted it about every summer and he’s absolutely correct.
  4. My father in law really showed me how great a homegrown tomato is in the summer. The ones you get in restaurant just aren’t the same. Sometimes when we do BLTs I have some tomato slices with whatever seasoning I have.
  5. Anyone see an IU recruit or commit? I don’t follow much high school much anymore, but it was nice to see Carmel beat Trinity. Indiana>Kentucky
  6. Posted in the wrong thread. Counting down the days to 9/4 and planning my home tailgate.
  7. Sounds like a successful trip. I didn’t expect to win so that was a nice surprise. It sounds like “fun” was one of the words that kept coming up. The players seemed to have fun playing. The fans seemed to have fun on the trip. The style of play sounds like it was fun to watch.
  8. Tennessee. The high ground of “the only thing we promise is a chance to work yourself into the lineup” is always funny to me.
  9. I’d love to hear some of their takes. They can’t be happy.
  10. Either, really. There seems to be some excitement on Twitter. Most of his production came in the Purdue game so it makes sense if that’s all they’ve seen of him. Over 2 years about 100 of 400 yards and 1 of 3 touchdowns were in that game.
  11. I’m assuming almost all PU fans will be happy with the pickup and act like we’re insane for speculating that he got beat out by a walk-on.
  12. I checked on that update. It looks like it’s some documentary about how Nebraska saved Big Ten football last year.
  13. I’d be happy with this. I’m staying optimistic and hoping it means Howland and/or Holloman have been looking good so far. I’m not sure if Martha knows anything but this lines up with what you’re saying.
  14. It looks like something is coming out about Nebraska today. He said no one guessed it and most guesses were about conference realignment so that isn’t it. I assume it’s a NIL deal but who knows.
  15. I think it’s a pretty specific generation that fully understands that sentiment. I think S&M is a very underrated album.
  16. We just started going there the last few months. Turns out it’s only about 10 minutes from our house. All the beer I’ve had from them has been great. The atmosphere is really cool, especially allowing dogs. I think the name is because the building used to be a church. I talked to (I think) an owner/manager there and helped them out with some things. They were cool people so that always helps.
  17. Has anyone else randomly seen IU basketball (or any other sport) somewhere surprising? I went to a charity music festival for a historic building yesterday. I was waiting in line for food and saw this stone. I thought it was a funny coincidence and decided to read about him since I was just waiting. Who would have thought? It was THAT Everett Dean. Not only that, but he was a major part of getting some buildings set up there.
  18. Also, at last update IU had the most medals of any school with 6. They technically tied with Florida but won a tie breaker on gold count.
  19. That sounds fantastic. What kind of red peppers?
  20. Did he commit? Seems to be some momentum.
  21. Haven’t seen this posted yet. How would you not want (or want to have your kid) play for him? Heck, I want to start tackling things. https://twitter.com/coachalleniu/status/1418406150878507013?s=21
  22. Sounds like it may have been more of a shot at PJ Fleck. I find it ironic that he used the term sloganeering which sounds like everything he’s speaking against here. I will always remember him as the coach that was supposed to bring Nebraska football back that complained about the conference schedule being too hard. Then the next season he got both IU and PU and lost to both.
  23. Is it just me or is the buy in bigger than we’ve seen for this 2022 class? He’s gotten a few tweets from commits as have a few other recruits.
