I tend to overthink things so that’s expected. I would’ve made it easier but having the grooves complicated it. I think I’ll just use the nail gun with 5/8” brads dice it’s just 1/4” plywood. The fireplace looks great!

How did you attach them to the wall? I’m planning to use 18g brads. We’re looking to butt them against each other but have darker browns and reds. I bought some sheets of luan plywood to make it all. I routed grooves but realized we’d have some ugly seems. Since then I’ve cut along the grooves and used a router with a trim bit (no table saw) to get clean, parallel edges.

Looks good! Did you buy actual shiplap or make it yourself? I’m currently working on (or dragging out) something like this. I’ll post some pictures when it’s done. I’m glad to see how good it looks when it’s finished.

I saw somewhere that some recruits may have had interest from IU increase in the last week. Is he in that category?

That is a beautiful drive in the fall. Clear on the other hand... The best part of the back roads from down here is there is usually some other game day traffic to stick with. I’ve gone pretty quick just to keep up.

That is actually pretty normal for a barrel aged beer. It’s pretty common to see them as high as 12-13%.

I like it. It is pretty sweet, nice oaky finish, good bourbon and coconut. It’s pretty smooth for 9% but still warms you up a little. I’d get it again.

There has definitely been some excitement in the area. I noticed signs around local companies this week. I was in a nearby town during the game and heard someone in the parking lot listening to the game with his windows down. Then I went across the street to the liquor store where the game was on. Great win!

Our husky mix loves the snow, too. If there’s weather that’s too cold for her we haven’t seen any in southern Indiana.

I noticed that, too. I’m not sure if it means much but it can’t be bad. This team talked a lot about being close and they’re showing it with how many guys are coming back. I still expect some transfers but I’m surprised none have come out and so many guys were quick to return.

Good comeback for Purdue. I have admit it was tough seeing them get some of those breaks on the road after what happened in sconsin. Had IU defended the same on that last ob play it would have been called a foul no question.
