Agreed. I've been critical of Sheridan, but that was a really good possession. We didn't just ask Penix to sit in the pocket. Keep mixing things up and keep the defense thinking.

That's what we needed! Great possession. Play calling and blocking were so much better there. Got Penix moving, and I loved seeing Hendershot go beast mode to get in the end zone.

Injury from the Iowa game. I didn't realize it until today, but he spent the weekend in an Iowa hospital after he was injured. They just called it an upper body injury, but Allen said test results were really, really positive. I think I saw he was injured in a pile up, so maybe concerns over something like a punctured lung? Total guess on that part.

Looks like @JaybobHoosier left tailgating to get into the game early.

Sounds like Devon Matthews is not out for warm ups. That's a big loss.

I'm usually as optimistic as they come about IU football, but I just don't have a good feeling about this game. Unless the OL and Penix take a huge jump from week 1, I think we're going to struggle. Hopefully they can prove me wrong!

The Giants couldn't stop shooting themselves in the foot. Penalty on the long TD run, dropped TD pass, offsides penalty on the FG. I also hated their calls after the interception. With touchbacks going to the 25, and kickers consistently hitting from 50+, you have to assume getting a 1 or 2 point lead with 2 minutes left is going to be a loss.

For tonight, I'll go with the Giants. I'll do the rest of my picks later.

In a perfect world, I completely agree. Unfortunately, there are always those people who take things too far. I kept my classroom decorations content related, and used my words and actions to get across the points I wanted to. I always talked about loving your unique traits, and I would always be on the lookout for kids who might be different and feel like they don't fit in. Some for sure slip through the cracks though. I found that it was much safer to say things to certain students who need the message than to put them on a wall for all to see.

That's too bad. Surprising that's only a 4-8 week injury. Seems like a broken leg involving surgery would take longer than that. Always enjoy how hard he runs. Hope to see him back this year.

There's a big reason Brady has won 6 more championships than Rodgers. Brady does anything he can to win (including taking less money). Rodgers does anything he can to help himself. I'm shocked that an aging QB who spent the offseason auditioning to host a game show, trying to squeeze more money from his team, trying to get traded, and who didn’t show up to any offseason workouts sucked yesterday. Who would have guessed?

I'm not sure I want Fields learning too much from Nagy and company.
