I agree…we need a come to Jesus moment….but does anything suggest this team—or for that matter—this program will have one? We’ve been waiting for two decades for a come to Jesus moment.

All good points…#7 is very needed…but would Woodson listen? He should, he needs help coaching…don’t know if he will though.

We also want to see Woodson actually coach. Again, we’re witnessing some of the worst coaching performances in a decade and a half.

Coaching is a serious glaring issue. It’s become abundantly clear.

What’s most concerning is our coaching. There is nothing out there that suggests this team is being coached. It’s some of the worst coaching we’ve witnessed in the past decade. I know I’m beating a dead horse…but there’s no offense being run…and the defense is so lost…slow rotations, over helping, etc.

You beat me to it. I have no earthly idea why but one has to wonder if the over helping is by design. They’ve overhelped all year and it’s bad.

We run absolutely no offense. It’s been this way all year.

We are witnessing a coach that actually runs offensive sets…vs a coach (Woody) that has zero offensive schemes.

I’ve said it so many times this year. We run no offense. It’s try and score in transition and if that doesn’t work…well, you know the rest. It’s rather amazing.

We are sadly a bad team. Our defense just continues to break down. I’ve seen middle school teams have better defensive rotations….and per the norm, Woodson has no offensive scheme.

I don’t think Woodson has a choice. He has to hit the portal hard and turnover some of the roster. Call it what you will…”creaning” but there are a few players on this year’s team we need to move on from for next year.

No reason not to go to the portal now. You can rebuild teams in a year.

Athletes and scoring isn’t so much an issue. Our issue is there are some players that are part of our rotation that don’t have it between the ears in understanding the game….namely Geronimo and to a lesser extent , Bates are the two that immediately come to mind. For instance, Geronimo is -34 in +\- in his last 29 minutes of game time. That stat is incredible. He kills us on the court not because he’s isn’t athletic but because he doesn’t understand the game and is completely lost. It’s almost like playing 5 on 4. At this point he needs to be out of the rotation. Have CJ Gunn play and have 4 true perimeter players with TJD on the inside.

Simply put…making free throws are winning plays. It may sound cliche but it’s true…A good free throw shooter usually is a winner.

X was a big loss and I think we’re seeing this. Not only was he an emotional leader on the court but he was our first line of defense on the defensive end…and he was excellent at that. At this point I would buckle down and expect more losses to pile up. Its possible we can get fully healthy a couple games before the BTT and maybe we can begin to play our best ball prompting a run in post-season play.

As our current team stands - it’s clear they’re not a tourney team. I’ve said it before…our only hope is to get Race and X back in time to make a run in the BTT. At this point be prepared for more losses than wins.
