  1. Not even a question…Mgbako is a starter and big difference maker when and if he commits. Throw all the chips in the center of the table on Mackenzie.
  2. According to Rabjohns (take that as you will), Kansas is on the outside looking in, although you can NEVER count out Bill Self.
  3. TJD and JHS had big adidas NIL deals last year. I believe Dick from Kansas had one.
  4. Louisville is a dumpster fire. I figured they didn’t have high major talent last year…but after seeing all their transfers land at the likes of UNC and Arkansas it shows the lack of high quality coaching. I’m not sure why a high major recruit would want to potentially subject themselves to this. I’m cautiously optimistic with MGBAKO
  5. Louisville is a dumpster fire right now. It’s one thing to have the Nolan Smith connection with Coach K but it’s completely different when we’re talking Payne and Louisville.
  6. This is someone who would be huge! He’s a 6’8” scorer. Tremendous talent. Close the deal…pass on Walker.
  7. He’s a bucket getter that can shoot. He would be a tremendous addition.
  8. Now this is a 6’8” guy that moves the needle. Plus he’s a bucket getter.
  9. If we’re making guard play a priority, to date, do you think the staff is doing a good job of getting official visits from shooters/guards? Again, I would rather go a different route. You are ok with the move. That’s fine…but it’s OK for others to ask questions.
  10. I think our front court is in solid position. That’s not to say that I’m completely against another taller post-like player but It’s the shot makers that I think we need to be making a priority…and it’s a fair question to ask. We need to focus on guard play.
  11. I don’t understand this. We need all the shooters we can get. Where are the shot creators? Our front court is set with Reneau/Ware and Sparks. Love that X is back…but we need more guard play/shot making ability.
  12. Holy smokes! Facilities is NOT an issue at Indiana.
  13. You would be correct. Facilities aren’t the problem…furthest from it, actually. Now 20 years ago when we made the title game…those were bad facilities but the locker room at least had a snow cone machine 😂.
  14. It’s simple. Mike Woodson. We have a former NBA player and coach as our head coach. He’s been the head coach of Hall of Famers, All-Stars and hundreds of NBA players. Woodson also has tremendous connections in the NBA after spending decades there. In 2 years he has developed a big and a guard into legit first round draft picks. Knoxville is a great town…been there several times, I’m sure Tuscaloosa is too and other SEC schools. I’m choosing Indiana because I trust Mike Woodson more than Nate Oats, Rick Barnes, etc…
  15. May 11th is correct to enter. Don’t believe a decision needs to be made for a school till later…not sure what date that is.
  16. Certainly…It’s not November and as I’ve notated in prior messages that I’m optimistic we’ll get good players in the coming weeks. Listen, we all want IU to win…and I don’t think anything I said now or prior was extreme as was mentioned in your previous post.
  17. I don’t think most fans think the staff is incompetent - I certainly don’t, but it’s fair to ask questions and it’s OK to hold a differing opinion that may not be what you or others hold. It’s fair to say that Ledlum was a tough miss because he is a good player and the staff did invest time in him. CMW as an alum and former player understands our passionate fan base. Among other things, our fans make Indiana, Indiana. These next couple weeks will be enormous in terms of who we get and what our prospects are in fielding a legit contender for next year. I am optimistic Woodson gets it done but I would be lying if I told you I wouldn’t be disappointed if he didn’t.
  18. I LOL at some of the posts on this message board. Let’s all accept mediocrity because we’re not Indiana of the ‘80s. FYI - it’s OK if passionate fans think Indiana should be an easier sell to recruits than Tennessee or Arkansas. It’s a good point and Indiana (in terms of basketball) absolutely is. It what makes us still a top 10-15 job in the country. CMW would absolutely disagree with some of these posters that think otherwise.
  19. I see several comments along the lines of “if he didn’t want to be an Indiana Hoosier then he isn’t for us.” Maybe for some, you generally feel that way, maybe for others it’s a coping mechanism on a lost recruit who we prioritized. For me, it’s simple. I want a consistent winning program like I think we all do. I’d rather have a group of “one or two and done” players that don’t necessarily care to be an Indiana Hoosier but are here to learn the game, represent our university well and compete for a national title than mediocre players who love Indiana but lead us to the NIT.
  20. Bullet was definitely not dodged which is why the staff prioritized Ledlum…Big Time. We need to make up some serious ground, and I mean serious ground, these next couple of weeks to put together a legit contender…or else we could be staring down the barrel of a Crean down year.
  21. The staff prioritized Ledlum. This is a very tough blow. I’m not sure what our other options are…We’ve been very selective in choosing our targets instead of widening our net like an Arkansas…not saying we should be against the selectivity but you have to absolutely hit on the commitments if we’re going this route. Tough. Many poked fun of Arkansas for reaching out to so many transfers…well they have a top transfer class and almost assuredly will be a top ten team after losing 1/2 their team. Where do we go next?
  22. Woodson with surgery coupled with it being dead week seemed primed for a quite couple of days. I get a strong feeling we're going to see an uptick in activity and be happy with our next commits.
