I’m thinking Mgbako. Regardless…Woodson has to recognize Mgbako is a 4…Ant Wright is talking about this right now on twitter/X. Says Indiana will be hurt until Woodson figures this out…Woodson has to play a 3 guard lineup. This current scheme isn’t working.

Clearly referring to Mgbako. It would benefit Woodson to change his offense based on the strengths of his personnel. He seems to be doing the opposite.

We’re running the same system as last year and that was with An All American and NBA guard. Thought system would change…believe Woodson said it would once TJD would be gone.

Anything less than a 20 point win is concerning. This team lost to Stonehill. If we win in single digits we still take a dive in metrics (because Army is so bad).

Play the walk-ons…If that’s the case then so be it. But the longer you keep a bad team in…the more they start believing. I hope he realizes that he cannot play this second unit. There’s literally zero scoring among them.

Yup. You can get away with it against Army,,,but you can’t play these guys all together against quality teams. Bench needs to shrink

All very valid points. I think eventually we could see a lineup of X/ Galloway/ Cupps/ Mgbako/ Ware. Agreed in that Army is essentially a 3rd exhibition game.

It's the "sunshine pumpers." Hell, if we would've lost a positive twist would've been spun regardless. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm rooting tremendously for them...they would help take the team to new heights but my opinion is that Gunn and Banks have shown very little in the first 1 + years to make me believe they are going to make consistent significant impacts against quality opponents.

Understatement of the year. Throw Gunn into that mix as well. It’s certainly not a coincidence those three were on the floor at the same time when our 7 minute FG drought began to occur. I just hope Woodson sees this. He’s had a stubbornness about him regarding these mass substitutions 1/3 of the way through each half that absolutely are a detriment. Cannot have those three on the court together. None of them are going to bring what we need to the table.

I prefer going small as well. I think once Mgbako figures out the defensive side of things he’s going to be an All Conference type player. He’s also the one player on our team that is a a legitimate threat to shoot and is a bona fide scorer. I would start him as the stretch 4.

We probably lose this game if Thompson was playing. Banks and Gunn have a long ways to go. Frankly, Not sure if they will ever be where we need them to be…and if not, then hit the portal. Was never a fan of the Walker grab…we need scoring. He’s not a scorer. Ware and Cupps played very well. Must find additional scoring and I’m certain it won’t come from Banks, Gunn and Walker after what we’ve seen the first 3 games (2 exhibition). Despite a bad game…confident Mgbako will be a stud and our best scoring option.
