There’s zero guarantee we win this game and metrics do matter. We need to start winning convincingly. There’s no reason to have all those players in at once….It’s fine getting them playing time but you need to stagger them.

Our starters are +7 the 2nd unit -8

Immediate 5-0 run. Shocked . Stop with this lineup
-
This all sub lineup is madness

Imagine MM gaining confidence and becoming the next college version of Obi Toppin!
-
Yeah…it would be very good for Woodson. I think it’s clear that Mgbako lacks understanding some fundamentals and if he comes out and develops him…that would be great!

I meant new coach in that new for the program. I don’t think you meant it this way…but maybe you did… you sound like Shaka would’ve been a good coaching candidate for us….kind of like we settled on Woodson since he has no coaching experience and he’s already up there in age. -

I look at Marquette at just smh. How does a program like that become top 5 with a relatively new coach and we can’t ever seem to sustain success…it’s disappointing. -
I don’t think you’re wrong. Not only is Mgbako a 5 star but he is a consensus top 10 player…or in other words, a high 5 star. It’s very reasonable to think Mgbako would or will have a strong season. In all honesty, after the Ware commitment and then Mgbako, I figured we were a top 25 team…obviously, we’re far from it. Mgbako needs to learn the game. Some of the basic fundamentals are lacking…for example, keeling your eye on the the player with the ball but also not turning your back to the person you’re guarding which allows a back cut. With all this said, Mgbako has tremendous upside and I believe in him and I’m sure Woodson is continuously working with MM. We’re all waiting for the breakout game and for it to click…I suspect it will happen sooner rather than later. If it happens, and he becomes the player we know he is, it’s going to greatly help our team….and when that happens, let’s keep him out of the “Miller Kopp stand in the corner” role.

A couple of things: - I think MMs shot begins to fall - I'd like to see Galloway be more aggressive. He's a senior. - Walker, when in the game, needs to stop shooting threes. - Wouldn't mind seeing Cupps try and shoot more. I know he air balled a shot against Uconn, but from all accounts, he's a good shooter and we need to establish some sort of 3 point game. - 1-11 from 3 won't cut it. Need shot makers and someone to step up (Galloway, MM, Cupps).

Looks like he’s been shot out of a cannon lol

I don’t think anyone is trying to troll or make it worse…. We’re all IU fans and long time posters (decade +) going back to previous sites. I actually think the last couple of weeks has been some of the most educating and respectful dialogue we’ve had (despite the team playing poorly) Nothing that bad has been said…

Guys, it’s a message board. If everyone wanted to live in a utopian society and agree on everything there would be no message board. Stop policing others on how they should post. Nobody is doing it to you. Frankly, this is the least negative message board out there. If you can’t handle that people criticize or are frustrated, or god forbid says their favorite team “sucks” when they’re playing poorly then I don’t know what to tell you. That’s sports and fandom.
-
Who cares if someone says “we suck”….goodness. We don’t need people policing other people’s words…it shouldn’t work that ways…it’s tiresome… He has the right to say it…it’s his opinion…this is a message board! We have sucked for a large portion of the 5 games. People get juiced up for games, and frankly watching IU play these first 5 games has been frustrating. They have a lot of work to do. They need to gel. Hopefully Woodson can get them playing as a cohesive unit .

I think we should go more zone moving forward…don’t need to play it all the time but right now we need to simplify. Glad the staff changed it up…it surely won us the game. Regarding Mgbako, I thought he was more aggressive in his minutes (though he had an ugly spell during Louisville’s run)…with that said, it seemed like he was looking for his shot more. Yes, he missed them but I’m glad he took more shots. I think eventually he starts knocking those in. His confidence is shaken…a few good plays from him and it may just start to click.
-
1-11 from 3…yikes. woodson needs to play more zone. thank god we won
-
Thank god we voided embarrassment…but 1-11 from 3 point range ain’t going to cut it.
-
We about to lose to Louisville! How far this program has fallen. One thing for sure…TJD masked a lot of our flaws
-
This is embarrassing!

I’m beginning to wonder if those naysayers about us being better without Johnson are right. I must admit, it’s crept in my mind the last couple of games…and that 5 point swing at the end of the half is a prime example…Cupps doesn’t make that mistake and he’s a freshman.
-
The only other team that would make the play that we just did to end the half would be Louisville
-
Well…if we lose this game to this god awful team you can point directly to the end of the first half.
-
5 point swing. Can’t make this up.
-
Yup…you’re right. Maybe someone has the ability to see the rest of article. I missed that…I was intrigued by the first point and he brings up numbers.
