Very valid point. Joe Girard is another...I admit, I wasn't too enamored with Girard's defensive prowess but he's carved out a huge role at Clemson. Knocking down threes at a high clip and defending well too.
-
Malik has improved. He needs to get better at court awareness...I think that will come with more reps.
-
He has certainly made better strides than CJ. I think you hit the nail on it's head. He's a serviceable role player. CJ is screaming mid-major to me....but then again, I though Geronimo was too and he found himself at Maryland (though he didn't look impressive against us).

You might be waiting for a long time...we've been waiting for 1-1/2 years. Buy stock in Mgbako and Ware. They have showed up and continue to improve.
-
Well...The first NET rankings came out and we're #137. Yikes. For those that say margin of victory doesn't matter against lesser oponenents...well, NET proves otherwise.

Mgbako continues to gain confidence. He’s been really engaged the last couple of games. I suspect he will only get better. Sparks looks unplayable. He’s 3-15 from free throws. He was all freshman in Mac. Really shows the difference in big man play between mid major and high major. Maryland is not a good team. How many air balls did we see them produce? At least 2 on one possession. Glad we took care of business. Nice win to start conference. Grabbing a win at Michigan would be awesome.

We had a chance to blow these guys out yet Woodson strikes again with his subs

to be a good player on a consistent basis? I’ve written him off. He’s not even a good player on an inconsistent basis. Harsh? I know. Hopefully he proves me wrong….tonight would be a good start.

Eric Gordon. He was automatic. If he didn't break his wrist during the early part of the season his shooting percentage would be quite a bit higher. Speaking of a broken wrist...shows you how tough he was. In today's game, if a lottery draft pick breaks his wrist, they're probably out for the rest of the season. That was only 16 years ago. EJ was a special player. Tremendous driver too. Had great strength.

Shows you how many times these recruiting analysts are clueless to how a high school player will perform in college. CJ shot a whopping 8% from 3 last year from three is so far 0-4 this year. Speaking of 3...X is our best shooter this year as he's 5-10. If we lose him for an extended period then our 3 point prowess could actually sink lower (if that's even possible).

That’s a fair question.

Obviously a massive game for so many reasons…it’s a home game, start 1-0 in conference play, gain confidence, etc… I’ll be honest, I haven’t been all that impressed with X’s play this year…but he makes his mark on the defensive side of the ball. We need him today. If memory serves, Jhamir Young had a field day in our first game we played them last year because nobody could contain him off the dribble…I assure you, X will contain that.

I hope a few of JMU’s players follow coach CIg. I suspect they will. -

Up to 37 now lol. He’s the difference between a bad/average team to top 20…he’s literally that good. Tennessee would have no offense without this guy. Teams would be reversed if we had him. -
It won’t happen…but I and a lot of Hoosier Nation would be on the Gruden train.
-
Gotta give him props on that one.
-
I graduated from IU a mere 12 years ago and we didn’t have to deal with this type of nonsense.
-
Gruden is the type of coach that puts us on the map!

Seems like Harper is all about the attention. Loves the light on himself as most commits do but he seems to take it to a whole new level. Take that as you will...

I’m sure it’s a troll job. Wouldn’t be shocked if a Rutgers announcement is incoming

IU set to hire Walt Bell as offensive coordinator.

I have zero idea regarding the chain but you seemed pretty spot on in your assessment. -
LOL. Yup. We need to make major strides very quickly, like right now . Big boys coming up.
