    Lots of room for interpretation...

who cares. Be gone. He’s had plenty of opportunities. This is one step closer for Woodson finding the right players next season. He’s simply not a high major player. He would better serve a team at Ball State or Miami of Oh.
Our long 2 attempts will decrease by at least 1/2.

  2. Woodson’s comment about adding pieces is right. He has to after this lousy year (coaching included). Gunn and Banks really have no choice…they most likely will be gone, whether they transfer on their own, or are nudged out….and that’s a step in the right direction for a roster overhaul.

Rumor was Bakos mom or someone actually contacted Woodson.

I don’t have to disparage our coach. To me, he hasn’t proven anything. I wish he would work out. I tried really hard to be on board when I wasn’t in favor of his hiring to begin with. Matta was huge in changing my thought process as an overflow of basketball minds.

I’m on this mound and unless the team turns around quickly, which I seriously doubt, I I’m staying on it.

Field of 68 was talking about how Bako fell in Woodson’s lap. Imagine if  Filipowksi declared..Yikes, then our team would be void of any semblance of an outside shooter.

Getting blown out by almost every tournament caliber team is just exhausting. If we had this exact same record but managed to play closer games I’d be willing to give more leeway to this team. But this is just unacceptable.

As to this game, it felt like a carbon copy of the home game vs Purdue. We tried to pound it inside like we normally do, almost like we didn’t realize they have a 7’4 dude down low. It’s frustrating because Ware feels like the perfect center to take advantage of Edey’s weaknesses. On offense it would’ve been nice to see some pick and pops with Ware (who is now shooting 45% from 3 on the year) to make Edey close out on shooters, which he’s clearly not comfortable doing. It also takes the best rebounder in the country away from the rim.

Also, just like last game Woodson went with the 2 fouls auto-bench in the first half for Ware. We went from down 4 to down 12 by half, and Ware ended up finishing the game with 2 fouls. Not sure how many times this needs to happen for Woodson to realize that he’s letting games slip away by artificially fouling out his own players.

And Woodson’s so hell bent on playing his system that when Ware is taken out he will play Sparks (arguably our worst scholarship player) with Reneau.  This is a concern because it indicates that Woodson may not be willing to adjust from this system.  Sparks shouldn’t be seeing the floor , let alone doubling up bigs and playing with Reneau. It’s insanity.

exactly i get his point that last night's loss is no surprise, but we just keep saying we'll get over the hump.  when?  how many games do we really think we win from here on out?  i say two.

We are #96 in Kenpom. Despite some bad teams…It’s been 13 years since we’ve accomplished this embarrassing feat. Among many things, STYLE OF PLAY MUST CHANGE.

For me it's not necessarily the losses. I thought this year would be a bit of a step back, though was hopeful we'd still make the tournament.

It's the 8 losses by double digits. We're not even competitive in these losses. We're so far away.

Us getting completely beat down is the new norm. Case in point:

You cant possibly say something like this without fundamentally not understanding what a NCAA season even is. IU is not even projected to be in the NIT. If Mike thinks we're "still in the thick of things" I'd love to know what that thing is because its certainly nothing anybody else cares about.

This team is a bunch of uncompetitive players led by a coach who retired well before this season started.

Some of Woodson’s post game quotes are getting close to Kenny Payne level.

  8. Can someone explain why Woodson didn’t have Ware in for the final play of the first half? The attempted tip? I get that the play would’ve been meaningless but these dumbfounding decisions continue to define his coaching and I fear it’s not getting any better

Throw some players in there that at least look like they wanna play. Body language is horrible. They gave up before the second half was halfway over

Not a bad idea. Except we will play the same awful style.
