  1. That's not grounding. He was out of the pocket.
  2. They completely forgot to cover our tight end and we gain 5 yards on 3rd and 7.
  3. They had to announce it was a first down. That doesn't happen when the ball is spotted properly.
  4. The broadcasters think we're faking injuries to slow down the WKU "freight train" offense. Nice.
  5. Your subtle remarks about injuries haven't gone unnoticed. We get it, poor Purdue just can't have healthy players like everyone else.
  6. Not to mention they wasted a timeout just to give the ball back.
  7. Again, great decision by Illinois to punt the ball. Nothing screams "we want this game" like punting when you only need 2 yards.
  8. Illinois should have gone for it. Weak move to punt it there.
  9. He had an incredible debut last year. Granted, it was against Illinois, but the numbers were staggering. I thought Wisconsin had their QB for the next few years. Looking like that's actually a weakness now.
  10. I'm sure Purdue fans are already chirping about how this must mean they're as good as Wisconsin.
  11. My team (Tigers) hasn't played a meaningful game in years, and I miss the days of September scoreboard watching so bad it hurts. The only thing I have to look forward to right now is offloading Miguel Cabrera's contract whenever he finally retires. I'm not surprised the Cardinals got hot, because they always seem to in September, but this is a little crazy, even for them. They remind me of the Minnesota Twins teams of the 2000's. You just couldn't ever turn your back on them, and they were always in the mix in the season's final weeks. I watched the Tigers blow division titles to them in 06 and 09, and 09 was absolutely insane. The Twins were 70-72 with 20 games left, and I had finally allowed myself to believe 06 wasn't going to happen again, that this year was different. And then, those MF'ers went 16-4 down the stretch, won a tiebreaker game and stole the division. The Tigers finally got the division a couple years later, but Twinophobia was in full effect among the Tigers fanbase by then. People would start freaking out any time they swept a series, convinced another monster run was coming. It sucks to watch your team for 150 games, and then all of a sudden, they're just out of it. I know the feeling, and right now, I'd like to experience it.
  12. I don't know how you can return as much talent from a national runner-up as we did and suck so bad the following year, but this team has found a way to do it. We've had maybe 2 games so far where we actually looked like a contender.
  13. Right now, I just hope he produces against WKU.
  14. My favorite was the guy who kept telling people to stay home if they didn't support Lynch because then he wouldn't have to deal with traffic after the game.
  15. Is this the first time we've ever had a night game there? It's infinitely harder to win in that stadium when the fans and students have had all day to get tanked up.
  16. So I'm guessing his weekly X-rays were negative, then?
  17. That official is like a kid who knows the answer to a teacher's question and starts to raise his hand, then thinks "Wait, I don't want to have to speak in front of the class" so he lowers it. You can't be that passive as an official. That's just unbelievable.
  18. Just saying it's crazy how we went from #18 to not a single vote in just 3 games. It's like people couldn't wait to have a reason to not vote for IU.
  19. We didn't get a single vote in the AP or Coaches' polls this week. Brutal.
  20. Reich would make a good high school coach at the 1A/2A level where teams always go for it on fourth down because they don't have a kicker.
  21. I don't think we as a program are being targeted, though I do think there are several Big Ten programs with people who would rather see us go back to standing in the corner and leaving them alone. I feel like football officials are being trained to look for penalties on plays instead of reacting to what they see. The roughing the passer call on Allen was total bullsh*t. That play happens multiple times in every NFL game each week, and there's no flag as long as the QB's name isn't Tom Brady. But officials have been conditioned to believe that big hits on the QB might be dangerous, so big hit just after the throw = flag. I also hate how broadcasters calling the game are constantly making excuses for officials over-officiating. On the targeting call yesterday, they thought the play being reviewed was incomplete pass or a fumble. They seemed to be caught off-guard by the possibility of targeting, but immediately voiced their support for the call. It's perfectly fine to disagree with the call and still be unbiased, but all you ever hear from the TV guys is how the refs are awesome, no one else could do better and how skill players need protection from the evil linebackers trying to decapitate them.
  22. I was kind of hoping Nebraska would get dusted by Oklahoma today, but they only lost by 7. Scott Frost tried to get out of playing this game earlier this year.
