After years and years of watching us never beat OSU or Michigan, I'd often find myself wondering during the games, will it happen this time? Am I finally going to see us beat them? Kind of weird to no longer have that feeling against Michigan now.

Honest question for those of you watching this: Why?

MSU: 137 passing yards, 104 rushing yards. Purdue: 236 passing yards, 21 rushing yards. Really don't know how you can win being so one dimensional, but it seems to work for them.

Why is MSU calling timeout with 4 seconds left when Purdue gained just 3 yards on a first down play?

Colts won't pick until the second round. At this rate, he may be off the board by then.

Really hoping David Bell is gone after this year.

Seriously...Nebraska is the Charlie Brown of college football teams.

Nebraska is a horribly coached team.

So apparently a fight broke out in the final minutes of the game between Wayne and Mississinewa, which Mississinewa won 42-6. Somebody from Wayne did this to Mississinewa's locker room afterward: I should add, the fight was started by a Mississinewa player. I can't get the video to link, but he shoved a Wayne player from behind as a play was ending and it escalated from there.

They were actually 11-0. Kind of shocked by that one. But even more shocked by this. Eastside won 21-16. Luers beat two 6A teams and multiple 5A teams this year and doesn't win a 2A sectional. Incredible.

Maybe I live a very weird and unusual life, or maybe I just go to the wrong places, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a paper straw anywhere. Then again, I don't drink coffee. And dammit, the chalkboard comment just gave me bad flashbacks to middle school when teachers would have us write stuff on the board, and the kid with terrible handwriting would make the chalk squeak with every other word. Stuff that nightmares are made of...

It's not what our fans want to hear, but I think that's about right. I'd like to see an IU team overachieve for a change and finish 4th or 5th. We have some nice pieces, but not enough to contend for the Big Ten title. Woodson will need at least one more recruiting class to get us there.

They did. I just expect any 4th down attempt to fail with this team.

I've heard this at least 3 times in the last 5-6 years. We'll see.

Ball State lost an exhibition game to Michigan Tech last night. That's a D-2 school in the Upper Peninsula. BSU trailed by as many as 16 in the second half. I'm not sure how James Whitford sill has a job. In 8 seasons, he has two CIT appearances and has won just two conference tournament games. He was given a two year extension this past summer. Luke Brown must have really missed his girlfriend to want to transfer into that mess. Or maybe he just likes resurrecting dead programs.

They'll be very good, but I think they and OSU were the two most overrated teams in the country last year. I picked both of them to lose the first weekend of the tournament and felt I was being a bit bold...then they both went and lost a round earlier. Purdue is going to get a ton of hype because of how much they return, which is significant in today's game, but also makes a lot of media members drool over them because the whole "get old and stay old" spiel makes them feel like it's the 1990's again.

I remember watching the Halloween movies as a kid. Crazy to think Michael Myers will be eligible for Medicare in another year.

This would be kind of a letdown if I hadn't witnessed it about 50 times already.

I don't know why every playoff game has to start after 8 p.m. The NFL and NBA have playoff games in the early afternoon on weekends.

Colts are done. At this point, I just hope we get a Super Bowl without Tom Brady in it.

Reich calls games as recklessly as he does because he knows Irsay isn't going to hold him accountable for it. Irsay made it clear before the season that he wants Reich here for the long haul, regardless of what happens.

Let's just let Wentz keep throwing incomplete passes. Not like we have a stud in the backfield or anything.

Actually, that holding penalty might not have been the worst thing. If it had been 4th and 6, Reich probably would have told the offense to stay on the field.
