  1. Brady didn't realize it was 4th down on the final play. You know what they say, when you get old, the brain cells are the first thing to go:
  2. I always felt the razor blade in the apple story was more of an urban legend to teach us that not all people can be trusted. Sort of like the "don't touch that wild animal or its mother will reject it" myth.
  3. Mother Nature decided to flex her muscles yesterday and gave us a few light showers with some graupel mixed in. It was kind of cute. My yard is dead.
  4. I came across the policy for what state parks are doing for trick or treating this year. I'm all for taking precautions where necessary, but seriously, some of this stuff is hilariously over-protective. -Trick or treating limited to campers only, no one from the general public may attend (good luck with that one). -Anyone handing out treats must be masked -All trick or treaters must be masked, even if they have a mask as part of their costume -Candy must be handed to the trick or treaters instead of letting them choose from a bowl -Everyone handing out treats must use hand sanitizer or disinfectant after handing out each piece of candy -After children are finished, each wrapped candy must be wiped down with disinfectant and left for 24 hours before unwrapping it to eat Just think, someone making pretty good money actually thinks all this is necessary.
  5. Last night I had a dream that I was getting my temperature checked for Covid. I didn't feel feverish, but the number just kept going higher and higher until I woke up to my radio playing an ad about getting tested to help contain the spread of the virus.
  6. Perfect campaigning tool to claim he survived it and it was nothing. Not to mention it's happening a month before the election, right before early voting begins, and right after a debate that drew all kinds of criticism.
  7. Keep in mind, Vic wasn't going to play in the bubble until he found out he wouldn't be paid. Then in the first playoff game, he sits after getting poked in the eye. Doesn't strike me as someone who would run through a brick wall for his team. It's Paul George all over again. Promising player who suffers a severe leg injury, then turns into a total diva who thinks he can do better than Indiana. Trade him now while he still has some value.
  8. It's weird because people where I live are acting like the pandemic is over since we're in "Phase 5."
  9. Love all the whining and crying about the refs before the games have even started.
  10. I'm still trying to figure out how what should have been an offensive foul on Tatum ends up being a jump ball. That was just hilariously awful officiating.
  11. Miami is getting hosed beyond belief in the final minute.
  12. Where I live, we got 3 inches of rain on Labor Day. We've had a trace of rain since, with nothing predicted for the next 10 days. So over this boring, weak weather pattern we've had all year.
  13. Might be a hot take, but I thought Lebron looked like age might be catching up with him in the fourth quarter. Airballed a 3 and had an ugly turnover in the lane.
  14. Hilarious seeing the built-in excuses already coming out if the Lakers manage to win it all.
  15. There are a lot of bad QB's in the NFL. They'd be even worse if so many rules hadn't been slanted toward offenses.
  16. Every game has tons of injuries anymore. It's a big reason why I rarely watch any game start to finish. Seemingly every 2-3 plays there's someone down on the field and they cut to commercials for the next 5 minutes.
  17. Seven straight season opening losses for the Colts, and 10 of the last 11. Remember when it used to be November before they'd lose, and people kept whining about how they weren't winning by enough? Good times. Probably won't ever see that here again. And what a surprise that the defense is still terrible. No matter how many draft picks they use on that side of the ball, no matter how much the local media tries to tell us how good they'll be, opposing QB's still put up video game numbers with ease. It will never change, and there will never be another QB like Peyton Manning to hide it.
  18. I'm south of Fort Wayne, and last night I couldn't believe how bright the sky to the north was. I'd never seen it like that before.
  19. The Nurse incident reminds me of when Bruce Weber was at Illinois and we always complained about how he was Illinois's 6th man on defense.
  20. Marcus Smart's flop earlier in the series was way worse.
  21. The public library in Muncie just opened for the first time since March. I personally think libraries have gone overboard with all of this.
  22. Obviously Donovan isn't coming here (unless he's still available in a couple years, maybe), but it would be cool if the Pacers got him. However, I think the Pacers are going to take a page out of the IU playbook and hire a minority to replace a fired minority. Hope I'm wrong.
  23. Can't verify this anywhere, but I heard the McDonald's in Brookville was letting people eat in the restaurant this weekend. Given the demographics of that area, it doesn't surprise me at all.
