I'm not saying I'd want Underwood coaching here. But I would take their last season and this season over ours. We haven't been ranked in the top 10 for 8 years.

Like it or not, Illinois is in a much better spot than we are right now. That's really all that matters. Underwood even has a winning record against us now (something we took solace in the first couple years). They were godawful in his first year and even when they were 0-8 in conference they still beat us. Are they fortunate Ayo and Kofi stuck around? Yes, but acting like it's some sort of failure on Underwood's part is silly. He has a top 10 team and we have a team that hasn't been ranked in over 2 years. He's getting results. We're not.

I feel like every game, there's about a 5-6 minute stretch where Purdue barely scores...and somehow, their opponent always ends up scoring less.

Local meteorologists are already getting hammered on social media with "you guys blew it again" posts because there isn't a foot of snow on the ground yet. Some people are just unreal.

Every single county in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Ohio is under a winter storm warning now. All but 2 counties in Indiana are as well. Wind chill warnings cover 5 entire states: the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. Only 2 counties in Iowa and one county in Minnesota aren't included in those. This system is incredible. Not ready to call it the blizzard of '78 yet, but this could be big, nonetheless.

I mean, the system that will bring this snow hasn't even reached the U.S. yet. It's nothing but speculation right now.

Impossible for anyone to know this far in advance. Beware of people on social media posing as meteorologists. If anyone is projecting total amounts more than 3 days out, they likely aren't legitimate weather forecasters.

There was a whistle maybe a fraction of a second before the buzzer when Purdue fouled after Stefanovic airballed the 3. The officials considered putting time back on the clock, but ultimately didn't. I'm not sure why Purdue would think it mattered.

Water usually finds its mark. This game and the Maryland game cancel out the MSU and OSU wins.

I thought the travel on Williams was pretty obvious. Not sure why they thought it should have been a no-call. You can't move both of your feet while holding the ball.

I don't understand why it's cancelled. If one team wants to play and the other refuses, it should be a forfeit, barring anything extreme (death in the program, problem with the facility, etc.)

He did, and their bench went crazy. The refs just shrugged and looked at each other. None of them saw it go in. It took the coach of the other team telling them it went in for them to count it.

Has anyone seen any games where an officiating crew couldn't decide if it should be a blocking foul or a charge, and in the time it takes them to decide on a blocking foul, they completely forget that the player who drew the foul made the shot? I've seen it happen 3 times now. All three times, each of the three refs had no idea the shot went in. I complimented a ref earlier, so now I'm entitled to give them hell about something. lol

That's insane. On the flip side, IU and Purdue have only both been ranked when facing each other 3 times in this century (and we've actually won all three).

I was at a game this afternoon where a player caught the ball and hopped sideways, and was correctly called for traveling. Props to the ref who made the call. A couple kids sitting near me couldn't understand why it was a travel. Once again, f*ck AAU, just because.
