I think this topic is basically a subtle jab at the fans who wanted Crean to get more time here and blamed his failures on the fans for expecting too much.

A couple hours ago, a snow squall went through my area. It looked like a blizzard outside. Now, I'm seeing lightning to the north and hearing thunder. At this point, I'm just waiting for the tsunami warning to go into effect.

Well, I was wrong. Everyone in northeast Indiana had school today. I heard some people grumbling about not getting a 2 hour delay...I think this will be a good learning experience for them. Now, back to telling people to get off my snow-covered, late April lawn...

Calling it now, there will be schools in northeast Indiana that close on Wednesday. 3-5 inches of snow on the way.

Very tragic, but I think it's ridiculous they're trying to contact trace anyone who may have been near him. Just seems like an overreaction and a waste of time.

I'd love to know why this rule exists and why anyone would think it's a good rule.

Well, my county has joined Blackford as the only orange counties in the state this week. Naturally, the town council voted to do away with masks in all businesses.

I noticed Blackford county is the only orange county this week. They were blue a couple weeks ago. I have to think it's because of Blackford basketball fans attending the regional and semi-state games.

Probably. A kid in my sister's class transferred there because apparently his academic "ability" was beyond everyone else at our dumb little public school. I played in chess tournaments in Fort Wayne growing up (don't judge--I played basketball too), and Canterbury always had tons of kids there. They had a flipping kindergartner that won the 3rd-5th grade division. At the risk of getting any nerdier or further off topic, yes, it's a school for rich people.

Don't know, I don't live in that area. I can tell you that Fort Wayne Canterbury's girls program wasn't real popular among fans and coaches when they were poaching area players and racking up 1A titles in the late 2000's/early 2010's.

Small private schools that somehow have 4A talent usually aren't well-liked by most fans of high school basketball.

I'm not rico, but nobody in 2A North is coming within 25 of Blackhawk.

We got about an inch of snow here and all the schools closed again.

Actually we did; we got to #10 that year at the start of the Big Ten tournament. I remembered being in and out of the top 25 that season and didn't remember getting that high of a ranking.

I'm not saying I'd want Underwood coaching here. But I would take their last season and this season over ours. We haven't been ranked in the top 10 for 8 years.

Like it or not, Illinois is in a much better spot than we are right now. That's really all that matters. Underwood even has a winning record against us now (something we took solace in the first couple years). They were godawful in his first year and even when they were 0-8 in conference they still beat us. Are they fortunate Ayo and Kofi stuck around? Yes, but acting like it's some sort of failure on Underwood's part is silly. He has a top 10 team and we have a team that hasn't been ranked in over 2 years. He's getting results. We're not.

I feel like every game, there's about a 5-6 minute stretch where Purdue barely scores...and somehow, their opponent always ends up scoring less.
