  1. Ledlum actually visited St. John's last. A better comparison would be Ware visiting us, cancelling an Alabama visit and then committing to us.
  2. Neat. Can't wait for all the hand-wringing about how it must be Kansas because his first and last names are capitalized.
  3. I had to look him up. The Tigers have been so bad the last few years I've kind of fallen out of the loop in regards to who's on the staff.
  4. And this probably happens a lot more than we think. Caleb Swanigan wanted to play at California, his guardian objected, so he committed to MSU instead. But the guardian wanted him at Purdue, so that's where he went.
  5. This team isn't good and neither is the division, but I'll take it.
  6. Must be the same people that kept Purdue in the same spot both times after we beat them. 🤣
  7. These are updated weekly, right? How do you go a whole week without winning and maintain the same ranking?
  8. I doubt it means anything one way or the other. We're looking at a more difficult non-conference schedule than we had last season and we have a lot more unknowns now than we had a year ago.
  9. You forgot the part about how some incoming freshman was going to get his reps and he "saw the writing on the wall." lol
  10. Tigers sweep (don't get to say that much these days) the Mets and defeat former Tigers Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer.
  11. We're coming up on a decade now of playing in this division. Has it made our program stronger? The latest NFL draft and our upcoming recruiting class rankings beg to differ.
  12. Wouldn't be the worst thing. I'd rather not have to face him again. In both matchups last year we couldn't handle him.
  13. They will list him at 7'0" once he's there. They always add an inch to their frontcourt players after they commit. Edey was listed at 7'3" when he committed and Matt Haarms was 7'2" and both of them magically grew another inch once they became Boilers.
  14. The only times I can recall us winning a recruiting battle with Kansas were Romeo Langford and James Blackmon Jr. Being the home state school obviously helped us with both of them. Getting an out of state 5 star prospect that Kansas and Duke both wanted would be monumental, if not unprecedented.
  15. Honestly beginning to wonder if Miguel Cabrera will end the season as a Tiger. Currently batting .188 and seems to be sitting out almost every other game.
  16. The people who "read tea leaves" remind me of the people who had cootie catchers when we were kids.
  17. Car alarms. The worst ones are when the driver is inside the car and accidentally hits the button to make it go off, but instead of silencing it, they're just fumbling around with their keys, making faces and acting like they don't have the slightest clue how to make it stop.
  18. You said a few posts earlier that the Colts weren't in a position to be risky. Wouldn't drafting an injured quarterback be considered risky?
  19. The Tigers were 9-23 at the 32 game mark in 2021. Last year they were 10-22. Right now they're 9-15. If they stay true to form, these last two games should be the start of a nice little 8 or 9 game losing streak with about 15 total runs scored.
  20. They do this all the time when a basketball player transfers. It's never that the player wasn't good enough or just wanted to be someplace else, it's always because some freshman is going to come in and get all their minutes and they "saw the writing on the wall."
  21. If it makes you feel any better, the Tigers have scored 6 runs in their last 5 games, losing four of them by a run.
  22. Some people just have their own vision for what a sport is supposed to look like, and when something comes along to change or challenge it, they see it as a threat. It's like the pitch clock in baseball.
  23. Tigers sweep a doubleheader from Cleveland. Trivial, I know, but I always appreciate every win over Cleveland ever since that year when the Tigers went 1-18 against them.
  24. Hearing that a recruit had a good visit is like hearing that somebody's surgery went well; you rarely hear the opposite. But I wish he'd hurry up and commit. The way things typically break for IU recruiting, the rare occasions where we lead for a recruit have conditioned me to expect the recruit to start adding more schools.
  25. The Tigers and Giants have been in a rain delay for 4 and a half hours. This is every team's worst scheduling nightmare: the final game of an interleague series between two teams who are three time zones apart with a steady rain that just won't stop.
