I really like this guy! Sees floor really well and a better shooter than Rice. Backcourt looks dynamic that’s for sure.

I was legit getting ready to say root for Boston to win this year. Don’t think he leaves Boston until he gets that ring then it will be the last thing to do…bring Indiana back

Love the upgrades at Guard! We will significantly be better than last year with this new backcourt but at the same time with Woody’s system on both sides of the ball it limits the overall upside of this team. 

Smith still has 8 boards and 6 assists last night

Has anyone watched the sweet 16 and realized how far away we are? We aren’t even close. We had Gabe Cupps as our starting guard. He wouldn’t crack the rotation on any of those teams. Our backcourt talent needs a massive upgrade. From a coaching style it’s basically all  4 out 1 in around a skilled BIG. Houston and Texas A&M at one point had all Guards/wings on the floor. Zero bigs. We play 2 guards and 3 forwards. The whole thing needs a complete 180. Pearl would have us competitive on a national stage in 2 years. This program is a disaster at the moment.

Things are trending toward Mgbako being back. Newton isn’t likely to go anywhere unless he’s done playing because of his injury. Cupps isn’t going anywhere unless he gets pushed out.

Don’t think Cupps is going anywhere. Not sure there would be a lot of high majors with interest.

The question I have for those of you who are in contact with lots of IU fans on a daily basis (I am not): How does the non-message board crowd generally feel about the situation?  My feeling is a change is a no brainer but am I just in a message board echo chamber?
 

 

I talk to lots of fans. I honestly don’t know one that wants him back. Everyone sees the writing on the wall. Woody might have a couple decent teams but the style of play is not going to get IU a BIG championship or even close to a final four. Then he says we aren’t “true fans”. Man that pissed off a lot of people. The bandaid really needs ripped off.

Auburn plays for an SEC championship today, has already been to a final four, plays a tremendous style of ball, and the coach loves IU but we are stuck with Woody. It’s the lowest point I’ve ever been at as an IU fan. Honestly the last 6 games I didn’t watch a full game. I could only watch bits and pieces before having to turn it off or other things interested me more. Very sad considering I used to plan my nights around IU basketball…

But no “ let’s run this thing back” like Leal said. Hahahaha what a clown show. Too bad I’m not a “true fan” and i can’t “chill” like Leal says for wanting Pearl. Someone that’s been to a final four, that plays a great style, and would get us out this disaster. I’m so over this “program”

Now remember your not a “true fan” unless you accept last nights loss and ask zero questions about this coaching staff.
