I don’t think I personally know an IU fan that is happy with Woodson as coach, but I guess there’s still plenty that are fine with him.

Mike sure seems like he's becoming unhinged. Very insecure and egotistical. This just isn't going to end well. I'm gonna guess he goes down as possibly the most hated IU basketball coach ever. The next 12 months will not be boring.
Absolutely pathetic!! I could list 10+ things that have been ran poorly by him in the last year. But we aren’t “true” fans. Mike you know how much time and money I’ve given to this program?! Go screw yourself!

If you’ve done your job you wouldn’t have to be campaigning right now about “doing your job” well…doing your job is 92 in kenpom? The worst ranking in 10+ years and 0 recruits for 2024…Mike I think you need to reevaluate what doing your job is.

But it’s the “fans” give me a break! That’s so lame and soft! How about give us a good product! Basically blaming a customer for not liking a terrible product haha what a joke! Get serious IU. The only reason we aren’t Minnesota at the moment is because of the fans and how passionate the fan base is. I think the media just says that to get a reaction and more clicks because it will trigger our huge base and they know that.

Maybe Woodson will realize how awful they'll be and change his mind about sticking around. Worst case scenario. We hire Josh Schertz. He's making 250K a year.
He runs a phenomenal offense style and system

Andershock on Peegs said that McNeeley has had concerns for months about IU and he finally decided to decommit today.
Who blames him?? Why in the heck would a “shooter” want to stand around in this system that is bottom in the nation in 3 point attempts?? I mean hello!! Saw this one coming. Good luck getting any good guards playing your “2 big pound it in the post and stand around” offense

Purdue posts TKR a lot?
They don’t…Gillis plays balk of the minutes now and he is basically a stretch 4 which makes them really really good

I have no issue with that... him being here has made me question Walsh.
Cupps being a lead guard here isn’t going to get us where we want to be. Looks like a mid major player

Hang a banner we beat a terrible Maryland team and an average Minnesota team. Our expectations have dropped so low it’s embarrassing

We beat an average team in Wisconsin at home when they been on a nosedive the entire month of Feb, beat a bad team in Maryland, and beat an average at best team in Minnesota…tell me again what are we celebrating?? It changes absolutely nothing. It’s not like we are all of a sudden beating top 25 teams.
In fact that’s the reason I’m over Woodson I see no way his style and system of pounding it inside why everyone watches, shooting long 2’s, averaging a horrid 5 three pointers a game, terrible mass subbing we’ve had to deal with basically all year, auto benching players with 2 fouls, playing way to big and guys out of position, and an awful over helping defensive scheme that gets us lit up with 3’s.
He might have a few decent teams but I see absolutely no way we can compete on a national stage with this. The goal is to get IU back right? No chance we ever see a final four playing like this so why go another year? Just puts us behind one more year.

FAU being 94th in defense in a average league at best is really concerning

If we don’t hire Pearl because of a few silly things in the past it might be the final straw for me

What’s everyone’s opinion of Dusty May and his coaching acumen?
I’d rather have Pearl…I’m just not for sure May can handle this type of job yet

That Trilly guy saying it was Buckner who hired Archie too. Wasn't Fred's choice. He was overruled.😢
Buckner has to go immediately.
Have you ever listened to him call a pacer game?? Do yourself a favor and don’t. It’s terrible!

I feel like he is just trying to justify his roster construction and his teams inability to shoot and the poor offense. Like why does he double down on his mistakes. People would appreciate the honesty and give him a second chance if he said he made mistakes in not filling the final scholarship and the makeup of the roster didn’t turn out how he would like. I’m making do with what I have and I think this teams best chance is to play through its two most talented offensive players who unfortunately should play the same position. Just admit the error and say i won’t make it again.
I want to make some comments about Woody and his personality but I’ll just keep it to myself. Can’t say something nice and all…but for someone who doesn’t have a great coaching track record…the guy comes off a little too assured of himself.
Ya it’s gotten old REAL quick

He's freaking right though!!
If Woodson dumps one of Gunn or Banks (think what Crean did finding Nick Zeisloft)---- fills the empty scholly with a guard of some sort---just for freaking depth and so we didn't have to run Cupps through the wringer as a FR...
Our season could have been a lot different. Orrrrr... just developed Banks as a 4, not taken Walker's transfer, and filled that spot with a wing.
But I'm telling you right now--- the optics are that the staff was lazy and decided to sit on their hands. Again, the optics.
Spot on

Here’s the real question though: is that bar attainable this day and age? I don’t mean that as a knock I just don’t know how realistic it is. I don’t know if I see that type of run for any college coach moving forward tbh. Not with how often coaches can and do move jobs. Especially after guys like K, Roy Williams, and Boeheim retired. Sure you still have Izzo but he’s not long for that job and Self too.
Ohh it’s attainable..the National Brand, incredible NIL, top 5 biggest fan bases in college basketball, Iconic Arena, beautiful campus and college life will always be there..those are things you just can’t teach and some schools will never have..we are just one coach away if we could ever get it right. IU has the ability to be Bama football with the right guy but we are forever waiting on that guy haha. Michigan football was pretty similar to us for awhile with the Brand, NIL, stadium, campus, etc…until they finally found there guy in Harbaugh. We are just waiting to be unlocked..I’d be very happy with Pearl.. I love his style of play.
Kudos for Painter for building PU into what it is. Great program! I honestly like watching PU play.

If winning the last two changes anybody’s decision, then we really do have clowns in charge.
Yes it changes nothing. don’t think we have much of a chance of competing on national stage with this style of play on both ends of the floor. sure he got us to couple of tournaments but I believe thats about the ceiling unfortunately. Getting ran off the floor by Miami last year really opened my eyes on that. Look at the final four teams last couple years. All play a smaller modern style on offense. It’s not post oriented like us and they don’t play the terrible nail, slot, rim defense. Unless Woodson would be willing to switch his style it’s over.

any reason Dolson hasn't come out with a vote of confidence, then?
Because--- I think you're dead wrong.
That’s a very good point Btown. If woody was for sure not going anywhere you would think Dolson would back him up publicly to calm the noise.
