  1. I feel like there are alot of stressed out people right now. My wife works as a sole proprietor. She is a massage therapist. With this indiana shutdown we are about to lose 35% of household income. We are lucky though. She has had a long time client that never had kids and pretty much adopted us as her own. Offered up her basement so my wife can still work. If people book appointments. Wife struggling with anxiety over this. Fortunately money wont be a problem for us, but I really feel for those that are sitting at home with no income for the foreseeable future. And of course the legislature has to play politics. Gross.
  2. Did he have the giant gavel he would use to wake up sleeping students when you were there? I got that a time or 2. Got the message across.
  3. Mr. Spillman had a joke about toilet paper. Went something like this. Little old woman walks into to the store and asks what kind of toilet paper they have. Clerk says we have top shelf premium and is our most expensive, and we have our store brand which is ok and more affordable. Woman asks what's on the bottom shelf, clerk says that's our cheapest called John Wayne toilet paper, its rough and tough and doesnt take shit off anyone.
  4. I really ike aldi's selection of one and done items. Just bought some bangers there a couple weeks ago and had bangers and mash last night. Got to feed the irish in me. Lots of great items and deals.
  5. American companies stepping up. https://em.harborfreight.com/pub/sf/ResponseForm?_ri_=X0Gzc2X%3DAQpglLjHJlYQGpc73GRAzct7zezduNOezaTIBKhszcB1HzgdgCNtyBDC479AUAGbjssnOVXMtX%3DAQpglLjHJlYQGpa31ETIomzdKKzcCog4zayiTIygte78zg6JKUpNiROHbwJmp6fg6T5&_ei_=Ej8jJCeBv80KYokgfgh0HCnxRe3ysc66487Frui_9qCaXm1kk_-gAhS6X1rVMXCv11Se&_di_=mhccpln32laa5lbd12seqgbs6ordbob7005uc547em4g6fqg7su0&fbclid=IwAR0dVubSBCoLhcVwBb43Pfugt1fAnmaf3ICiJZMw7QXCL8nlwl2Q-Wppyxw
  6. My dad was a truck driver. Drove for jasper engines the deliver fuel for a local oil company. Have always respected the profession.
  7. @FKIM01 The chinese invest heavily in Italy with alot of travel back and forth. Also, to combat racism, in early Feburary, the Italians in their infinite wisdom had a hug a chinese person day.
  8. I am no expert but also not an uninformed idiot when it comes to this stuff. Here is whe I am, the data sucks. The only reliable metric is fatalities, which so far in the US after a month since the 1st positive, but IMHO this has been here since mid December, the graph is relatively flat. Positive cases will grow exponentially, we are already seeing that. But the mortality rate, I think, will be less than 1% when this is over. Social distancing policy is going to fail. Why? Because people are dumbasses. Just look at all these assholes that are panicking but willing to pile up in supermarkets asshole to elbow.
  9. The archive I found didn't have the graphics but better than nothing. Alot of censorship on the interwebs if it doesn't fit the narrative.
  10. Maybe be good for a chuckle. https://worldnewsdailyreport.com/belgium-health-minister-puts-ban-on-non-essential-sexual-activities-of-persons-3-or-greater-in-indoor-areas/ Dubois county has there first case. And they shut everything down. But will let the masses pile into walmart everyday from the 3-5 surrounding counties. SMH.
  11. @FKIM01 This the article you posted? https://web.archive.org/web/20200321164503/https://medium.com/six-four-six-nine/evidence-over-hysteria-covid-19-1b767def5894
  12. I've had really good luck with beefsteak. Versatile and delicious. When the weather gets hot water in early morning, or around sunset. And protect tomatoes against blight and watch out for bacterial wilt. When planting a tomato plant, make sure to bury it deep. First 1-2 stems under dirt. As for the pot, I have seen people do well with 5 gallon home depot buckets.
  13. I do early cooler weather stuff like lettuce, spinach, radishes. Then rotate in peppers(green & red bell, jalapenos, habaneros), tomatoes, ect. I usually do a couple cherry tomato plants, beefsteak, and a heirloom or 2. Not enough room for corn. And some random whatever I feel like this year stuff like squash, eggplant. Dont spend to much time on the yard other than mowing. Usually plant some flowers but that's about it.
  14. My neighbors wife is a very big and loud woman. So big in fact, she has her own moon. Heard her yelling from inside her house a couple days ago she is off work until July, 24th. Going to be a long ride. And warm weather draws these animals out. 😟
  15. After all this is over and things ramp back up, and we have high unemployment, low demand since millions will have debt to pay and no money to buy things, think there will be a period of deflation?
  16. One in Monroe county now. An IU student.
  17. The link just compiles the data reported by states. So I guess it depends on how a state reports. I didnt post it because it was a study done by the chinese but supposedly the chinese have had a significant number of false positives. IMHO, I think this was here in December and a significant number of people have been exposed and have probably already had it.
  18. Looking at the data from this website 88.5% of test so far have been negative. https://covidtracking.com/data/
  19. Adding your family to my prayers.
  20. Good to know. Following a discussion on another forum I go to and reading how hospital supply runs on a thin margin. Hope they get stocked up fast. The healthcare workers need to be protected.
  21. Unbelievable but not surprising .https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.businessinsider.com/people-stealing-masks-from-hospitals-and-research-facilities-2020-3%3famp

  23. It's pretty ignorant since I work in the food industry. People will show up if sick.
