QB Kurtis Rourke Commits to Indiana
Artesian_86 replied to KDB's topic in General Football Discussion
....Could we eventually be labeled quarterback U? lol Time will tell. While at JMU, one of Coach Cignetti's assistants labeled him the "quarterback whisperer"..... I like the sound of that. -

....a big "thank you for all you do" check as well as a much needed way to keep them here. -

Captain Obvious speaking here….lol ….Maybe Coach Cignetti didn’t feel good about the players in his interview with them. ….Maybe those players didn’t care for Coach Cignetti’s bold, straightforward and confident approach. ….Maybe some of these player don’t think they need to put all the detail and work in Coach Cignetti is requiring of them. I’m gonna guess, it’s a little of all three. JMO. -
This is not insignificant

That really surprises me that CTA and staff was on the wrong side of hospitality with recruits. -
Oh well….Stuff like this doesn’t move the needle one bit. When Coach Cignetti gets this thing turned around and hopefully get to a bowl next year, that sort of stuff will definitely trending up.

Here’s Coach Cig’s first HS commit to IU. He’s a 3 star DL and former JMU commit. Mario Landino @landinomario72 · 12m Committed Part 2 #AGTG @IndianaFootball @Coach_PatKuntz @CCignettiIU @EmmausFootball @harfair

....now that's pushing it! lol

I really like what he said here.... “I’ve always been big on finding a home and being loyal to where I’m at, and I think I’m loyal to IU,” Kosin told The Daily Hoosier in a phone interview. “I love the campus, I love the place. And I’m falling in love with the coaches now, again.”

Besides,....We will get a banner to hang in Gainbridge Fieldhouse!

SMH...Why not? What NBA team wouldn't want the success the Pacers are having and to be in the Championship game of this new tourney? Of course it's not the same as the playoffs, but who cares. IMO the NBA season can drag on too long and it gets very boring. This kind of thing definitely spices up the the traditional NBA season format.

Coach Cig will absolutely look at, recruit and welcome 4 & 5 star kids...... He is just saying there are 2, 3 and even no-star kids who can be just as good.....with by-in and development through his system. jmo -
Curt Cignetti Hired as Indiana Head Coach
Artesian_86 replied to KDB's topic in General Football Discussion
I'm playing the Devil's advocate here....It's hard for me to wrap my head around seeing IU go from a bottom dweller to a team with a winning record. It's been this way for so long, with so many different coaches. What is so different and special about Coach Cignetti? I'm sure there are current IU players and IU portal players that feel that way too. I am all in on what Coach Cignetti is bringing. He's not going to change the way he does things, just because it's the mighty BIGTEN. If anything, IMO, he wants to "shock the world" on how we're going to see IU next year and in the future. I'm sure he's heard how bad IU has been for decades and how many coaches have vowed to turn the program around and failed. Coach Cig is not the soft, fuzzy and sensitive coach we are used seeing and that may turn some fans and players off. However, his commitment to a consistent plan, method and style of coaching as well as playing has been obvious. It will take time, energy and effort to build what he wants and is accustomed to. I can't wait to see he has in store for IU. GO IU! -

Though some of these transfers will sting a bit, especially if they end up going somewhere in the BIGTEN, Coach Cig knows what he wants for his "blueprint" of a successful team. We all have grown to love some of these big playmakers and speaking for me, are a bit selfish to let them go. However, I'm not the coach and I don't have a consistent, winning record with a "blueprint" that works. -

Alan Soukup, a former IU/CTA commit appears to be frustrated about his previous scholarship offer and the new IU coaching staff..... I suspect this has happened a lot and will continue. I mean,....this really reminds me of what Coach Prime did pre-season at Colorado. Oh, well. Gotta get his type of guys. -

I'm sure Coach C has spoken to all player that he wants to retain......However, if the player still doesn't feel it, he has to go..... I hate that, but Coach will find his guys. We depended on Jaylin a lot this year and he was often the best player on the field. I'm sure Coach C's vision and plan for him is a bit different than he is accustomed too here at IU and he wants more of the same somewhere else....Also, maybe some of these player don't particularly care for his approach and style of coaching. Who knows?...JMO. -
no.... I tried two different times..... I will have to check it out again on something else...

Peacock wasn't too bad. I ordered it. I bought the Premium package for $5.99 a month. The only thing I didn't like was not being able to pause the game if I had to go to restroom or let my two little Dachshunds out to potty....lol I can pause it with Dish....

As soon as I saw that I thought of TJD..... TJD's passing was a huge part of his game and the more Ware can do that the more dangerous we can be as a team.

Yikes......Titan Special teams were horrible yesterday.....

There could/may actually be some successful position coaches out there that would love to have the opportunity to coach along side Coach Cignetti too.... JMO -

We very well may have just hired "THE" actual diamond in the rough folks.... It's been proclaimed several times that Coach Cignetti is one of the most, if not the most underrated, coach with a winning record out there......
