I just talked to my guy good friend in Bloomington. He was my old college roommate. He worked for IU in sports management and had several connections with former IU players. I just thought I would ask what he thought or heard… This was was his reply and only a rumor of what he heard. Mind you, this is what he has heard, but he said who knows. Take it for what it’s worth. He said his source is from inside athletics… The rumor over the last few weeks… Is that Allen will be fired and his replacement is Antwaan Randall El. Apparently it’s a done deal. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Allen is a good guy and incredible values but unfortunately that doesn’t win games. He will end up a defensive coordinator somewhere. Another rumor is Southern Cal is interested in him for the DC job.

I mean, what is a coach going to say? He sounded extremely down and disappointed with Fish after the game, naturally…

…If Coach Allen is let go,….some of these guys may want to see who we get before they decide to move on, IF they do. JMHO

That’s what I’m most worried about….good players wanting to leave. Can’t blame em…

….Coach said it starts today and tomorrow, re-recruiting our player….. Yikes! I wouldn’t want to be in Coach Allen’s shoes right now.

I think they may be down a little. They have a few injuries early and one of their best returning players out for the year with a knee injury . I just hope they can pull it together with what they have, as well as a new head coach

I was impressed with Sparks, but honestly I was expecting this kind of play from him at some point. I think he is only going to get better. One of the things I love the most about Sparks is his extreme gratitude and blessed opportunity to be playing for his dream school, IU! That alone can take your game to a different level....

....and most of us want it to stay that way. JMO

Yes he absolutely has a right to his opinion, but it is his opinion and IMO he should add in his post that it's his opinion....We can all agree that we don't always agree with what others say on here. That is the nature of an open message board. JMHO....

^^This!^^ .....and those same posters are like a fly that you can't seem to get rid of. They're the ones who most likely agree with what DD pukes out! These negative posters just aren't considering just how young and new this team is. I mean, the addition of Banks and Gunn into the rotation is a welcomed addition and they're still learning. They rarely saw the floor last year which makes it seem like they are new players all over again. JMO

Something came to mind that happened last year with our team. We definitely got "Out-Toughed" (as Coach Woodson admitted to) in some of those losses and TJD was accused of being soft a time or two. I definitely remember a huge change in HIS game, as well as the rest of the team's increased toughness at a certain point in the season last year. It's like a light finally switched on.... I hope we can see that, but much, much sooner. JMO!

Yes, he is lost....I wouldn't start him either. I have been surprised with is continued starting roll. It seems that he is usually the first one back on the bench when substitutions come around. I could be wrong.

We definitely have growing pains.... When one piston in an engine miss fires the whole engine runs rough. It's usually a fouled spark plug or wire... I see that with this team. Last year we had that attacking, scoring guard/Small forward type type player like JHS. IMO, Mgbako is that player that this team desperately needs to come alive on both ends of the floor. I'm not putting this all on MM's shoulders, but yesterday we needed his 5* talent and play. I know he is learning, but he just seems lost at times.
