Our best shooters don't shoot. Sometimes that is because our passes don't hit them ready to shoot and sometimes it is because they appear gun shy. We are one of the better shooting teams in an era where the 3 ball is king and we have a NPOY candidate down low who draws double and triple teams. The fact we don't get more 3's up is criminal.

In his defense, I feel we only have one other starter who consistently hunts for his shot in games. The other 3 usually defer to a fault.

Someone said in the game thread that they will be happy when we don't play on ESPN anymore. I agree and it is because of stuff like last night. ESPN has to "Olympics" so many of the games they show. Spartan Strong every commercial last night, Edey's Mom, Davidson's girlfriend who happens to be a former IUWBB player....and if it isn't pushing that, it is pushing some other narrative they want to shove down your throat. (Duke/UNC being a favorite of mine).

So saw somewhere that Big Ten teams are 7-26 on the road in February. Does anyone really believe that many teams are that better at home? I don't. It is how games are called. This league is good for money but the actual product has a bit of WWE feel to it. The whole "Spartan Strong" stuff...just feels like a production so often.

It is early but the bench production is worrisome for next year....
