Overrated based on potential however he hasn’t developed, been at 3 schools in 3 years now that he’s transferring to Kanye’s school lol, and work ethic questions. Not a good combination.

Shoulder injuries take time to come back from. That’s happened to numerous guys in baseball. Sometimes it takes 12-18 months to reach 100. August 2021 would’ve been about 17 months and that’s when he started hitting better. Then September he looked like pre injury Suarez.

I wouldn’t. He’s better than he was most of 2021 and his value would be really low. He’s not got a bad contract and if there’s a DH that’ll help with hiding his defense.

Miley should not be let go. If he’s not on the roster in 2022 the Reds should pick up the offer and then trade him. Barnhart I think they could get clever there with an extension too but they might opt to move on. I have mixed feelings on him.

The new CBA could cause a strike which could lead to some crazy contract situations depending on how long it takes to get a new agreement and if there is a salary cap and floor moving forward. 32 million is still a good chunk of change to collect over the next 2 years if you don't know how contracts will look going forward.

If the Pacers acquired him they would have to surround him with shooters similar to the Lebron led Cavs and the Giannis led Bucks. This actually fits with Carlisle because he has shown he wants to space the floor with shooting. Simmons is an elite defender and finisher around the rim. Just not a shooter.

I've said it a few times. It's not a lock that he opts out and it's also not a lock that he's not back with the Reds even if he does. He's not going to get crazy money like many people think. I don't know if I buy the Pacers and 76'ers rumors. The name that has supposedly been discussed is Levert.

Barrero needs to be in the lineup at the start of the season everyday next year. Either at SS or CF. His inconsistency this year in the big leagues was due to a lack of consistent playing time.

That's a good question. If the organization isn't sold on Barrero at SS then he could go to CF and Farmer at SS. If Barrero is at SS and there is a DH then play Farmer at 3B and Suarez/Moose or whoever be the DH.

He'd dropped on the depth chart since he hadn't been able to hold onto the football.

It's crazy to me that the Pacers kick off the preseason tomorrow in New York. Basketball season is almost here.

I think he'll be the primary catcher going forward. That said I could see him playing first on his catching off days to keep his bat in the lineup. Especially if there is a DH and there's a worse defender who needs to hit. In a few years I could see him switching to first if necessary.
