  1. Maybe you're right but I don't see it that way with him. There were other cases in the Reds past that was the case with. I think his problem is more mental than anything physical.
  2. The praise that Spegal got from Coach DM a few days ago wasn't a coincidence. He's going to have a role and possibly a scholarship rather soon.
  3. That's not uncommon. I prefer pitchers to develop as starters then when they get close to the big leagues then move them to the bullpen. Typically because a guy only has a couple of pitches which doesn't work as a starter. That's why Garrett is a reliever he only has 2 pitches. Fastball and slider. He's been effective in the past. He's had some stretches this year when he's been alright. That said Bell just isn't smart about when to use him. Last night was another example of that.
  4. Carr, Baldwin, and Spegal. It sounds like Ellis is all over the place but he would've gotten more touches too but some as a receiver. Spegal is likely the short yardage guy.
  5. I think Amir is what he is. He's an average reliever who's having a bad year. He had a 3.21 ERA two years ago and a 2.45 ERA last year. He's fine as one of your last arms in the bullpen but not as a set up guy or closer.
  6. Guess he wasn't happy being 4th on the depth chart a week into camp.
  7. The Reds pitching development has been much different over the last 3 years since Derek Johnson and Kyle Boddy have been hired.
  8. I understand why the Reds don’t want to give up on Garrett since he’s been pretty good the last couple of years. He’s having a bad year and is out of options so he’s stuck on the roster but Bell needs to be smarter about when to use him. Hembree should’ve already been replaced by Santillan and I don’t understand that at all. I also don’t get why the Reds made up an injury to keep Brach around rather than just cutting him but at least he’s not pitching anymore.
  9. Anderson is a joke. All those students who came down with Covid after 3 days of school didn´t get Covid while at school. They most likely got their infection in the days leading up to school starting since covid takes 2-14 days for symptoms to appear and I can almost guarantee that not all of those students just happened to be on the short end of their incubation period. As for the masks. Whatever. If it keeps people in school even though most of the ones people wear don´t work because they are not medical grade so it is pointless other than to make some people feel better.

  11. Stephenson hadn´t played 1B in his career until earlier this year. When Votto missed time earlier this year with an injury he told Stephenson he should start taking ground balls at first. He did alright there so Bell gave him some starts earlier this year at 1B. He just hadn´t played there recenlty because Votto can´t be out of the lineup.
  12. People hear what they want to hear and once they hear it they rather believe a lie than the truth.
  13. I think the IU visit put them ahead of Bama.
  14. Well I’d say part of it is IU hasn’t been in the mix for anyone that is that big of a recruit to warrant any kind of bigs deals with anyone yet.
  15. The guys like Penny and FedEx is setting up massive NIL deals for Memphis. That’s why Duran chose Memphis over the G league.
  16. Brimah likely won't be on the roster and they don't have a way to sign anyone to a minimum contract at the moment unless it's a training camp invite or a two-way contract.
  17. There bad defense was a product of the system last year. All you had to do was look at their defensive numbers from the year before. I think they’re better than a lot of people are giving them credit for.
  18. Pacers have the deepest team in the East. The just don't have the star. They'll be better than people think. LeVert and Warren being healthy at the start of the year is what's going to be huge for this team that didn't happen last season.
  19. Yeah that was discussed but I think they found out their isn't any good trade options out there for Brogdon or Turner. J Michael has eve said as of right now it's unlikely the Pacers make any big moves.
  20. They won't trade either one. The only move left will be minor stuff like trading Lamb and maybe acquiring a 3rd PG.
  21. Somebody at 247 moved the interest level meter to warm when it probably shouldn’t have been moved. IU has some interest but don’t know if they’ll offer.
  22. The point was that somebody at 247 jumped the gun. Weaver lauded to this as well.
  23. IU has talked to him but it doesn’t sound like he’s a priority for IU and they think he’s to small to play as a rusher.
  24. Its very possible but Reds ownership as cheap as they may be at times doesn’t like to trade or lose popular players in there prime. That’s a common known fact since this ownership group took over. The only player really that they haven’t resigned was Bauer who got crazy money and that looks like a blessing now.
