  1. The feeling when constipation finally goes away.
  2. Galloway thinking he's Steve Nash and Malik is Amar'e Stoudemire with the Suns.
  3. Calling it now: we're gonna bungle our way to a win. And somehow, that will be a frustrating result.
  4. Despite our troubles this year, we've still managed to beat tonight's nutjobs once. Maybe, just maybe, we'll have the blueprint to do it again.
  5. To answer the OP's main question(s), I believe there is way too much emphasis on IU's tradition and RMK's influence. (And let me be clear, I'm a fan and appreciate both!) But for IU to get to where it wants to be, it has got to stop looking in the rear view mirror. It has got to stop being so deferential to the Ghosts of Program's Past and forge forward with a bold, new perspective. I believe there are way too many fans and people associated with the program that desperately want a feel-good narrative that has previous connections to the past, either through in-state affiliations or associations with the team from years ago. The differentiation in my mind is this: a leader of the program shouldn't chase tradition, it should chase excellence. What McCracken and Knight built was a high level of excellence, and created and empowered amazing traditions along the way. I feel for way too long, we've witnessed the focus on the opposite. Take Alabama football for a minute. Kalen DeBoer was brought in to replace Nick Saban (and hopefully attain his successes), but not to be Nick Saban. DeBoer has been brought it because of who he is and what he wants to do; he's been given the platform to be himself and lead in the ways that fits his objectives. The minute he has to be like Bear Bryant and Saban in their style (ie tradition) is the moment he's doomed. His only metric is excellence. And that should be the only one for IU as well.
  6. Hey MM, did you like what you saw Ware doing tonight? You can come in here and do it too!
  7. The way XJ landed and screamed in pain, I thought he might've dislocated his elbow. Certainly hope he's able to recover and play again.
  8. I'm super pumped about this win. Glad we pulled it out. That said, I think we win going away if Galloway isn't doing his best "Bad" Troy Williams impersonation. Seemingly handing over TOs like Halloween candy.
  9. Wait til you see his dunk in the second half... he dunked that $&%# HARD
  10. Hey Dana Altman! Kel'el Ware ain't soft, bro. I loved his fire tonight... he played strong and with passion. Everything you'd want from a player. Very happy for Leal. He IS the walking embodiment of high IU IQ, and he shot with confidence. He can scratch his name on Ware's trophy.
  11. I'll have to watch the first half again, but I only think we "lost" one of their shooters once (Mgbako letting his man hit a wide open corner 3); other than that, we contested everything fairly well. Didn't feel like we were chasing our di**s around the court. Would like to keep the momentum going and just beat the brakes off 'em.
  12. Obviously we don't want Reneau hurt. He gives us so much. But like when Ware went down, having one of our 5s out takes away some of the redundancy that has clogged up our spacing. I wonder if there is a silver lining to this, in that we'll have a smaller, more flexible lineup that isn't so post-dominant.
  13. He's the leal deal, for real
  14. Literally that simple. I don't think he's a dolt. I think he's pragmatic.
  15. Fair. But Reneau could therefore be allowed to chew out players denting the rim and cracking glass with shots taken while wide open.
  16. Unfortunately, those shots have a better chance of going in than our perimeter ones.
  17. I agree with the general approach. The portal should feel like picking up a targeted free agent rather than an accumulation of picks with potential. I'll stop short of saying that things are too difficult to be fixed next year, because sometimes all it takes is one player/catalyst to change the dynamics and productivity, but it will certainly be a challenge.
  18. THEN SAY IT AND STOP BEING COY 🤷‍♂️
  19. Of all the things inaccurate about this picture, the assumed use of all scholarships (and more!) might be the most egregious.
  20. Brilliant move by Harbaugh. His NC will overshadow anything else in his UM tenure, so he will always be revered by the school and fanbase. Like him or not, he's simply won everywhere he's gone. And now he won't have to battle the NCAA anymore. Justin Herbert has got to be so happy.
  21. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39380148/sources-jim-harbaugh-accepts-head-coaching-job-chargers Damn, NOBODY wants Cignetti's smoke.
