ESPN is the service that's been high on Pack. They have him at #86 while Rivals has him at #124 and 247 has him at #171.

I tend to think that 247's own rankings are usually more accurate than the composite. They have Leal at 2 and Galloway at 3.

Leal was #99 in the composite yesterday but dropped 30 spots because ESPN's updated rankings have Leal a 3-star and ranked 7th in the state.. Lol.

    ESPN rankings are just garbage.

Leal as the 7th best player in the state? Talk about zero credibility. Good God!

  2. Guys,

Overall, GREAT job on keeping a tough discussion very respectable. A few instances of approaching the line, but very good self policing and self restraint. Thank you.

With that said, please be careful. These topics can ruin friendships. Just keep being respectful.

And venturing off to 9/11 and the response is getting off topic a bit....and will certainly blow this up (no pun intended, it is not a joke).

So let's move away from chasing that rabbit.

Thanks HSN. Really good people here with different views. That's what makes the world go around, as long as respected.

    Homemade masks!!

Thought I would share this article I received today about the best materials to use if you have to make your own mask.

    https://www.designworldonline.com/cdc-weighs-diy-facemasks-for-the-general-public-heres-the-science-behind-mask-materials/

And speaking of making homemade masks, my daughter yesterday had to make a Target Run! She decided if she had to wear a bandana , she might as well go all the way with the look! That's my girl!!

Image may contain: one or more people, people standing and phone

Hope she doesn't put a gun in that holster,  you may need some bail money!  Lol

I don't get it.  There are thousands of people dying, but people still seem to want to check all the boxes that something is proven and safe.

If my loved one was stricken with a serious case of Covic, I know if I was given the choice of:

    - Intubation and hoping for the best

    - Taking a promising drug that has not been formally approved for treating this disease.

I'm taking the 2nd choice every day of the week.  If my loved one ends up growing an extra toe on their left foot, so be it.  It's better than the alternative.  It's better tp give them a chance than to do nothing and hope.

My mother suffers from both lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. She uses a variant of this drug.

There are millions of doses available, and easily produced in large quantities.

The concern of a shortage is nonsense. Basically saying to let people die in fears of a shortage (that is no real issue) is borderline criminal.

The only reason some areas are restricting this is either politics, red tape, or ignorance.

The recommendation right now is to try it on patients that are basically at deaths door. In a "nothing to lose scenario".

I think history will show the lack of using available options, until a long term solution is available, will have cost many lives.

They are essential.  If someone's refrigerator stops working, they have to buy a new one.  There really is not an option.  That said, I would expect the only sales of those items right now are situations just as I described.  People are simply not going to be upgrading appliances, remodeling, or buying new homes while all of this is going on.

True. However our freezers are flying off the floor as people stock up. Same with computers as people are doing classes online.

We just sold a refrigerator to a customer who was desperate, food gonna go bad.

So true, in my line of work, the fluff purchases have slowed (less than I would have expected tho), but other items have spiked.

I oversee several states, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri and Tennessee. It is interesting how employees and customer in each state are responding so differently, as all 4 are similar demographics.

Was just wondering if Menards/ Home Depot / Lowes will stay open and be getting their deliveries of Mulch / Flowers on time this year. I'm hoping that after the snow expected tomorrow that we will be done with winter and looking forward to sprucing up the yard. Already aerated and fertilized earlier this week. I think those are essential stores. People need to be able to maintain their homes.

They would be considered essential businesses, at this point.

The company I work for sells refrigerators, washer and dryers. In everything so far, those items are listed under "essential". So every state we do business in, we have been part of the exempt businesses.

With that said, we are going to reduced hours of operation next week.

Irish Whiskey, any good recommendations? I really like Jameson but it messes with my stomach the next day. I drank it a few times to see if it was the food I ate instead, but got the same result....

If you like wheat beer, have you tried Goose Islands 312? It’s their Urban Wheat beer that is one of my all-time favorites.

312 is fantastic, agree 100%. Stll slightly favor schafly tho.

Jameson is my go to for Irish Whiskey. I have just not found one better (well,  not under $100 anyways).

However, Proper 12 is a solid alternative if Jameson is not an option.

  8. Tito's with a splash of orange juice is solid for me. I also enjoy a good Irish Whiskey.

    Beer?

I love to experiment with random craft beers. My staple is still most anything by 3Floyd's.

Although I do enjoy gumballhead, as far as wheat brews go, Schafly's hef is really hard to beat.
