  1. Wanted an air fryer with a larger capacity, so we went out and bought this... That's the maiden voyage with wings of course... Frozen 12 inch pizza tomorrow, and trying fries from raw potatoes soon...
  2. I was channelin' you, brother! 😉
  3. I'm not sure I'm following you here...
  4. That's true...Yadi never played against a Lou Brock, a Tim Raines, a Maury Wills, a Rickey Henderson, or a Vince Coleman. As a matter of fact, I doubt he's ever played against anybody who is in the top 50 career wise. Sure, the game has made the stolen base less of a weapon than it used to be, but those before him had to face the very best at their craft...not a bunch of wanna be home run hitters who only steal bases as a last resort...
  5. Yes...What adjective would you use to describe the 208 catchers above him on the career list?
  6. From afar, it certainly doesn't look promising... I would think that Woody's NBA resume would have been attractive to Washington, but who knows the priorities of an 18 year old kid... And I agree...if Woody feels our chances aren't good, move on and bring home some high end talent from out of state...
  7. Probably intersects with Lorena Bobbitt Parkway...
  8. All the more reason I'm hoping we're going full court press on Washington. If we can get a foot in the door in that part of the state, it'll pay down the road. Lots of talent has come from that area...
  9. I doubled as a remote control AND an antenna twister... Kinda sucked during a thunderstorm...
  10. And he's waaay behind Ted Simmons, who spent the vast majority of his career as a Cardinal... When I saw Molina just above Darrell Porter, it brought back a great memory... I had season tickets for the Cardinals in 1981 and 1982. In 82 I was at a game in I think it was early August (it was ungodly hot), and the Cardinals were playing the Pirates and in a hot NL East pennant race. Late in the game, Porter came up with the bases loaded and 2 out. Darryl had a drug/alcohol problem when he played for the Royals. Anyway, he struck out, and the crowd was really on him. As he was heading back to the dugout, a fat guy wearing an "I Love Beer" t-shirt and a Budweiser in both hands, jumps up and yells, " Go back to Kansas City you alcoholic!" Porter looked up at him and then just hung his head. I laughed so hard I almost puked... Darrell got his revenge though...look up who the NLCS AND the World Series MVP was in 1982...
  11. On his Twitter page he says he had an "amazing" visit to Ohio State... a·maz·ing /əˈmāziNG/ adjective causing great surprise or wonder; astonishing in·cred·i·ble /inˈkredəb(ə)l/ adjective impossible to believe. We win the adjective war 😁
  12. The other guy I think could improve the most is Jordan Geronimo. He's gotta show Woody early that he can play if he wants minutes. The kid is a gifted athlete, but I also think he's got a ton of basketball skill we have only seen glimpses of so far...
  13. You were there during the best 4 year stretch in IU history, in my opinion. Very exciting time. I remember going to a game in what would have been your sophomore year against South Carolina...They had Alex English, Brian Winters, and Mike Dunleavy, but IU still won. If I remember right, Abernathy had a big game for IU.
  14. I think so, unless they'd get really good feedback from this G league deal. A few of those guys will greatly affect the B10 race. I was surprised Eric Ayala's name wasn't in there. He and Wiggins are pretty much mirror images of each other...
  15. Aaron Wiggins of Maryland too... A couple of other names of interest, at least to me, were DJ Carton and Dawson Garcia both from Marquette, and former IU recruiting targets...
  16. Lander... He's going to get the freedom under Woody that was thought to be holding him back, now the ball is in his court... I think he has a very high ceiling... It would be nice if by mid season he was challenging Johnson for more minutes...
  17. Tigers pitcher throws up on the mound, then to add insult to injury, gets sent back to AAA after the game...
  18. Sorry to hear that...prayers to your father in law and whole family...
  19. Yeah, good description...Hdd been having his issues this year before yesterday...
  20. And just as I say Zach Davies isn't setting the world on fire, he goes and pitches a gem against the hated Deadbirds... If the Deadbirds keep playing the way they are, maybe on their logo they should replace the bat the Cardinals are sitting on with a broom
  21. True, but he hasn't exactly burned it up this year. The Cubs starters as a whole don't have a single pitcher with an ERA under 4...without our bullpen, we're battling with the Pirates to stay out of last place...only Hendricks and Alzolay average over 5 innings per start...
  22. TDH article on the visit Excellent as always...
