Funny you should say that... I was watching "A Football Life" of Jerry Rice just now and there were a couple of mentions of Rice being the "Greatest Football Player" ever... I remember Bill Walsh saying that once when both he and Ditka worked the pregame show for NBC. Ditka came unglued. Something like, "I've never seen Jerry Rice make a tackle. We had 13 interceptions one year and Walter made the tackle on 12 of them. Can Jerry Rice block? Can he punt? Can he throw? Walter Payton could!" I'll say Rice is the best receiver ever, but football player? I'll take Sweetness...

And I say in my opinion they shouldn't addressing it at all. Simple as that. You seem to want to belabor this point, but I don't think I can be any more clear.

That the legislative branch should have other priorities than to trying to " fix" something that isn't really broken. There's plenty of suffering and need in the US that should be addressed over 18-22 year olds who are already getting a free college education for playing a sport that they (supposedly) love...

I just noticed that if the playoffs started today, it'd be the Mets, Cubs, Cardinals, Padres, and Dodgers... Boy, for Cubs fans if we could win with that crowd, talk about at the end of the year being able to go all Michael Corleone... "All family business was settled today."

Even if the first baseman would have stood there and watched Contreas score THEN ran dsown and put his foot on the bag, the run wouldn't have counted... I am a Cubs fan that lived just across the river from St Louis...had Cardinal season tickets (2 years, 1981 and 1982) and probably went to well over 200 games in the 7 years I lived there...when the Cubs came to town, I wore a Cubs jersey and hat... I don't know if this is shocking to this crowd or not, but federal workers, including contractors, are not required to get the vaccine... I can't even ask my employees if they've gotten it...Although the government gives them 4 hours of admin leave (doesn't come off of their annual leave or sick leave totals) to get the shot...But they don't have to provide me with proof that they did get it... You can thank public unions for all of this...
