Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski to retire after next season
IUFLA replied to IU247's topic in General Basketball Discussion
I said this before... If he took any other college job after passing on IU, to IU fans he'd go from "Brad f%&#ing Stevens" to " f%&#ing Brad Stevens." -

Wonder how much that'll affect the decision of 22 and 23 kids we're both in on? -
Noah Clowney (2022) Commits to Alabama
IUFLA replied to The Daily Hoosier's topic in Basketball Recruiting
I'm not sure...I saw on Btown banners where they said Noah was a cousin, but couldn't verify it on the internet...Jadaveon DOES have a cousin, Demon, who's an up and coming prep football star... -

Got that right...my oldest even picked going to a game (Rangers-White Sox...Cubs were on the road) to go to for her 21st birthday...She said she wanted me to buy her first legal beer at the ballpark... What a fun night for the whole family... Now, she goes over to St Louis (lives in southwestern Illinois) every time the Cubs are in town, passing the tradition on my grandson...They both defiantly wear their Cubs gear...

This is why I hate The Whinin Illini Great article by @The Daily Hoosier telling the story of Chester Frazier chest bumping Eric Gordon...Apparently Underwood hired Frazier to be an assistant coach as all of his assistants went the rats off a sinking ship route this spring... Underwood brought up the chest bump at the presser... “Hey, damn, the half court handshake with Eric Gordon, are you shittin’ me? I mean he blasted that dude,” Underwood said with a mischievous grin “You don’t think that didn’t fit with me? We’re rockin’ right there now.” Yeah Brad...Never mind (as TDH mentions) that IU won the game and Eric Gordon went to the NBA and made over $100 million bucks, while Chester Frazier "had a brief career overseas" and is now an assistant to, well, you...

Probably flying an IR or VR route designated for military aircraft...we like to scare the civilians once in a while I was working a mid shift at Eglin AFB once and the Army Rangers were doing low level night jumps just south of Holt, Florida...A guy who lived in that area somehow got the RAPCON number, called me, and said if that ^%#^##^ airplane (C-141...big and kinda loud) passed over his house again, he was going to take a shot at it... I had to call the county sheriff over it...

I guess I should explain this a bit further... It was kinda a rite of passage for Martinsville teen aged guys to go over and see the XXX drive in in Ellettsville...It was a creepy place... One time was plenty for me...

I do agree with @IU Scott about the walks and strikeouts, but pitching changes are part of the game and long term team strategy... But today's fans don't care about (or understand for that matter) baseball strategy...

Oh, I've been there... And there use to be a bridge you could watch it from... Of course, you missed the dialogue 😯

No kidding...the ONLY reason I wanted a driver's license when I was 12 was to be able to go to the drive in... And that's before I knew about the residual benefits...😁

I don't know...when I attend games, that "dead time" is always a good time to hunt up the beer guy... PS I know you don't drink, @IU Scott but nachos, or a barker?

Some people complain...I've never understood the rationale though...it was ok for 100 years, now the games take too long...

He got 11 pitches...maybe that's all Girardi thought he needed...don't want to overwork the closer...might need him for a whole inning tomorrow... The guy before him, David Hale, hadn't pitched since the 20th, so he needed some work too...
-
Sometimes they just want to get a guy some work in a live game...especially if the game is a lost cause... Looked it up...Neris is their closer, and hadn't worked since the 27th...There ya go...

They're all 57+...don't think they'll do you much good... 😁

Please take just a moment out of your day tomorrow to remember the men and women who sacrificed all to preserve the freedoms we enjoy in this great country of ours... May God bless and keep them...
