  1. 2 more... Joe Charboneau...
  2. This Patrick Wisdom kid is making me feel better about putting Bryant on the block... 13 games, 9 dingers, 19 ribbies, and hitting .412... At least until they find the hole in his swing...
  3. That was the second 500 I attended. We were sitting down by the first turn on the outside. I was only 6, but I knew that black cloud wasn't good... Numerous drivers tried to talk McDonald out of racing that car...I remember I read an interview of Johnny Rutherford once and he said when McDonald passed him he thought he'd either win the race or kill himself in that car... Also, they found a lemon on a string that Sachs wore around his neck for luck in Rutherford's car after he had hit both Sachs and McDonald...Johnny was lucky that day...
  4. I have a friend that works in the tower there...
  5. I mentioned over in the Bahama thread it's on ESPN all the time... I stopped on it one day...very boring... Now if they had it in somebody's back yard with the BBQ going, a lot of cold beer on hand, the drunk uncle heckling the players, and the promise of a family disturbance, then sure...
  6. Considering some of the schlock listings I've seen on the plethora of ESPN channels, I think they'd be wise to consider it with all of the IU storylines this off season... I mean, I'm sure people could miss a Cornhole match or two without much angst, couldn't they?
  7. I don't know if the Student broadcast would be an option for this, but if it was and I was in that program, I'd be lobbying to go...
  8. Or maybe Stroman's tweet had an ulterior motive? "Stroman responded on his Twitter account by first suggesting that his HDHM apparel brand would soon begin selling du-rags."
  9. This is getting ridiculous...
  10. I was just looking at DePaul's school history...They should have stayed an independent...that kinda coincides with the dropoff... The GMWC and CUSA weren't terrible fits, but the Big East sure was,...
  11. Yeah, it took him a while to fail off, but when he did, it was a fall off the cliff...
  12. I hope not...I still think Washington is the key guy in the class...for reasons beyond his talent...
  13. A "did you know?" for our friend @Stlboiler23... There were 2 really good young catchers that hailed from the Signal Hill Italian neighborhood in St Louis in the early 40s...Joe Garagiola and Yogi Berra who were best friends. The Cardinals chose to sign Garagiola... One of them is in the HoF...😁
  14. I think Ward "Piggy" Lambert was the coach for the vaunted Helms Banner team... Don't know who took over for him...
  15. That's right...that was the Chamberlain team...lost to an undefeated UNC team in 3 OTs...
  16. Kansas? Phog Allen was replaced by Dick Harp ("no, that's not a musical instrument")
  17. Another good podcast by AJ...Two things struck me... The story about what cinched him coming to IU while riding in a car with an IMG teammate, and the intensity and focus toward the end when AJ always gives his 5 things an IU kid needs to do...I'm excited about this young man...
  18. Lots of cool pics and comments on his Dad's Twitter Page
