  1. That was OSU's Luke Witte they attacked (and Corky Taylor was the one who kneed Witte in the nuts)...Rudy T ran into Kermit Washington's fist in the NBA...
  2. Again, bored by a slowing off season (after a spurt of initial activity), I made a list of my favorite player from each Big 10 school over the years (the Johnny come latelys I picked based on when they entered the Big 10, not historically)...and my favorite "Villains" (for various reasons...some are pretty easy to figure out)... Pick apart as you like Illinois Fav-Nick Weatherspoon Villain-Alan Griffin Iowa Fav-Luka Garza Villain-Acie Earl Maryland Fav-Melo Trimble Villain-Jalen Smith Michigan Fav-Gary Grant Villain-Antoine Joubert Michigan State Fav-Draymond Green Villain-Magic Johnson Minnesota Fav-Mychael Thompson Villain-Corky Taylor Nebraska Fav-Shavon Shields Villain-Teddy Allen Northwestern Fav-Shon Morris Villain-Mohamed Hachad Ohio State Fav-Jay Burson Villain-Allan Hornyak Penn State Fav-John Harrar Villain-Mike Watkins Purdue Fav-Jerry Sichting Villain-Kyle Macy Rutgers Fav-Myles Johnson Villain-Geo Baker Wisconsin Fav-Devin Harris Villain-Brad Davison
  3. She seemed in pretty good spirits this morning...It never really bothered her much, even up until yesterday. It had went from golf ball sized 2 weeks ago, to softball size because of fluid build up. She has to be crated too for 10 days and she's not happy with it...It's funny, all 3 have their own pillows, but when I got up this morning, the other 2 were laying right by her kennel...Support and solidarity I suppose... We went through that with a Boxer we had a few years back...heartbreaking...I hope she can recover...
  4. This is the mass they took off of our female Lab. She's back home now and on the mend...
  5. Had to go over to the Port Arthur area (actually Grove, Texas) to have a huge, non-cancerous mass removed from our Lab's chest by a specialist. Dropped her off at 9 and picking her up at 5. Having that much time, me and my wife went down to Sea Rim state park on the Gulf. Not much there. Paid 3 bucks a head, and I feel like I got taken...anyway, here's a couple of pics... Water looks pretty terrible...like overused dish water...I did take a pic of this for @rico in case he ever wants to come here fishing 😁
  6. I think Casey Stengel once said of Hunt, "This kid's 20 and in 10 years he's got a chance to be 30."
  7. Sadly, it's not the first time in this area...only a Texan would do this... Link
  8. The full movie, "The Executioner's Song" is available for free on YouTube...
  9. When the United States brought back the death penalty in 1976, the first man to be executed, Gary Gilmore, was executed by firing squad. There's a excellent movie about it called "The Executioner's Song" starring Tommy Lee Jones and Roseanne Arquette...based on a great book of the same name by Norman Mailer. 5 Utah State Troopers with .3030 rifles. 4 shot live rounds but one shot a blank so they wouldn't actually know which Troopers fired the shots that killed him.
  10. Yeah, but I consider Skiles a PG and the Spartans are good there, I think 😉 Every time I think of Skiles, I think of the wrap around pass he threw to Larry Polec in the NCAAs vs Georgetown...
  11. Considered him as well...I just thought Bias was a better PF pick...
  12. I struggled between Dixon, Branch, and Steve Francis...Tom McMillan was hard to leave off too... Also considered Steve Blake at PG, but Lucas was just too good...
  13. I overlooked one of my own all time favorite players...the late Jack Moore of Nebraska (Muncie Central)... 5'9 but boy could he play...
  14. Texas has skipped spring a vaulted right into summer... 90 here with 70% humidity. I just went down to the barn to do my daily chores and it felt like walking in a bucket of pee... I walked in the door and my wife's one word covered it..."Ewwww"
  15. I tried to think through the Michigan guards...Joubert, Green, Robinson, Burke, and Rose all had good careers there...Definitely one of the tougher calls... And I did consider Tomjanovich...I just thought Tarpley had a better career...Who knows what he could have been without the addiction problems...
  16. Another Martinsville guy, but I wanted to keep it semi current...If I had gone back that far, I'd have put Charles "Stretch" Murphy in there too...
  17. I did consider him (all Terre Haute guys get a little extra from me as well as Martinsville guys...hard for me to leave Jerry Sichting off) but the call was him or Schellhase... We'll leave it to our resident Boilermaker...what say thee, @Stlboiler23?
  18. Yeah, over Moore...Not Schellhase... I tend not to put too much effort into anything Purdue...
  19. Yeah, a horse isn't eating anything that's been peed on by anybody...You'd be surprised how discriminating they are about their food...
  20. I envisioned this exercise as fluid, counting on the members to help get it right... So Cazzie Russell it is...Who does he replace? Webber or Rice?
  21. I tried to go more off of their college game...Hondo was pretty good in college, but Ohio State has had a lot of great college players... And Michigan and OSU were two of the more difficult ones...
  22. There's an excellent case for Cazzie...I tried to remain true to Center, 2 forwards and 2 guards, and Michigan is pretty stacked there... Birdsong played at the University of Houston...
  23. Since it's the off season, and there's not a whole lot to talk about, I got bored and put together my All Time Team for each Big 10 school (save Indiana...that's been done ad nauseum). This might not draw much interest, but curious who I might have omitted or who others think should have made the list...Partially based on my own opinion, and partially based on stats (You try digging up an all time team for Northwestern!)...Enjoy... Illinois Nick Weatherspoon Deon Thomas Eddie Johnson Deron Williams Derek Harper Iowa Luka Garza Roy Marble Kevin Kunnert BJ Armstrong Ronnie Lester Maryland Len Elmore Len Bias Albert King John Lucas Juan Dixon Michigan Roy Tarpley Chris Webber Glenn Rice Cazzie Russell Gary Grant Jamal Crawford Michigan State Jay Vincent Greg Kelser Steve Smith Shawn Respert Magic Johnson Minnesota Mychael Thompson Kevin McHale Willie Burton Lou Hudson Ray Williams Northwestern Evan Eschmeyer John Shurna Shon Morris Drew Crawford Bryant McIntosh Nebraska Dave Hoppen Andre Smith Shavon Shields Eric Piatkowski Tyronn Lue Ohio State Jerry Lucas Deshaun Thomas Jim Jackson Kelvin Ransey Dennis Hopson Penn State Calvin Booth Lamar Stevens Jamelle Cornley Joe Crispin Talor Battle Purdue Joe Barry Carroll Dave Schellhase E’Twaun Moore Glenn Robinson Rick Mount Bruce Parkinson Rutgers Myles Johnson Phil Sellers James Bailey Eddie Jordan Quincy Douby Wisconsin Frank Kaminsky Ethan Happ Sam Dekker Alondo Tucker Michael Findley
  24. The US FDA doesn't think so... That's the thing about COVID...No one has a real answer...I read through both articles and still don't know what to think... I will say that I find it strange the FDA says Ivermectin is used on humans, if you look at the article it says the drug CAN be used in humans to treat certain conditions, yet the sidebar says... And any idiot that can't figure out that a form of a drug meant for use in horses and cows isn't for human consumption is subject to Darwin's Law of Natural Selection
  25. Good fit at Wisconsin=can already legally drink and gets preemptive mail from AARP...
