  1. I just came in here to see @rico's "postponed" Cubs flag...
  2. I know Peachtree-Dekalb airport evacuated the tower cab for a while because of tornadoes...not a good place to be even with just high wind... It rained all day Saturday here, but we pushed it eastward...
  3. My favorite, chicken tetrazzini, is in there...
  4. There ya go! You're not a born Texan, are you? 😉
  5. Anything with meat (not head cheese or any of the gross stuff) trumps a grilled cheese any day...
  6. I spent a lot of time as a kid up near the pits trying to get autographs during qualifying. The nicest guys were Johnny Rutherford (he remembered my name), Gary Bettenhausen, and Jim Hurtabees...Bettenhausen took me through gasoline alley once... Mario Andretti was ok. Foyt was ok too, but a bit gruff. Bobby and Al Unser were both aloof...wouldn't sign anything the times I was around them. Parnelli Jones and Dan Gurney wouldn't even look at the kids hanging around...
  7. If you've watched any of the videos of people refusing on airplanes or retail stores it's almost comical... The statement they're trying to make gets obliterated by the "Look, I'm stupid" dialogue...
  8. I get an email for every delay/issue at every airport every day... You wouldn't believe the number of people who got booted for not complying with the mask mandate and thereby delaying their flight this weekend... 8 people alone on a single flight out of Houston Hobby airport...Incredible...
  9. Yes, combs and razors are unappreciated in today's society...
  10. That'd be a nightmare... I think the one aspect people who never saw him play don't realize is what a great passer he was. In the open floor, he was terrific. 6'8 guys didn't grab a rebound and go the length of the court back then...he was special... And beyond the years IU won something, 70-71 ranks as my favorite year...That was a very entertaining team...
  11. I see your point. Big George was a force of nature. Definitely two different types of player. And I totally agree about McGinnis and Knight. Too bad George didn't stick around, but I understand why he didn't...
  12. Congratulations to your daughter, Scott...
  13. The good news is that Bryant is playing great. It'll increase his trade value at the deadline. Heck, we might even get a couple of high A ballplayers for him.
  14. Miller never showed me anything to suggest he could be a good point guard...His handle wasn't all that good, 25 assists in 31 games aren't PG numbers, and he's not a great defender...I realize he was asked to be a shooting guard for Illinois, but it's not like LSU doesn't have competition at PG and SG for him...
  15. Good thing they know how to handle stampedes...
  16. Ah, brings back memories... I blew a 10 foot in diameter hole and started a fire at a Fort Wayne bowling alley back in 1979...
  17. Not me... The 2016 was a gift from a benevolent God to those if us who implored, "Just one time!" Any second Cub World Series Championship would be a result of of lying soul sellers to the other guy...
  18. Same here. Problem is, it still has its flaws as far as on the field calls go. Sometimes it's just too close. Let the computer call balls and strikes and have a Dell 800 number up in center field the players can ring if the want to bitch about a call.
  19. Trying to cancel our reservations at Sam Houston Race Track for today. Supposed to rain all day, and it'll probably cancel some of the live racing. We had a reservation at the Winner's Circle restaurant for the buffet, which is usually pretty good, but trying to move rose to Mother's Day at my wife's request. ☹️
