That final moment. After, maybe even a life time of confrontation, when both warriors agree. "we both have lines.

i'll respect yours, You respect mine. Deal partner " ?

They both know that the other is a worthy opponent (earned respect),

which make them a much better, friend !

This pic I found on the webz, just simple ...... calms me. I've been an "urgent" idiot horse owner. Also a passive goat father that 20 minutes in the pasture.......  Totally changed my outlook on kife.

But this pic, to me, is... I will die for you.... Yep and me for you. They have found that perfect balance.

For those who have no clue about horses. That is one very well built and intelligent equine. May have a few extra lbs, but beautiful Buck skin. And ALLLLL attention is on her/his buddy, there was zero give a shits about anything else around, ZERO of them because. She knew she had back up also looking for threats.

You saddle jockies will know what I'm talking about.

That's gotta be a mare...a gelding would be sizing him up for sex even though he's short on performance...and a stallion, well, let's just say I wouldn't be in the same paddock with one of those crazy dudes...

  2. 110...Had a pretty good one going until I forgot Yogi Berra had played a handful of games for the Mets at the end of his career ☹️

And a little somber remembrance too with Steve Olin and Bob Ojeda...couldn't work Tim Crews in, but was thinking about that awful day over 30 years ago for some reason this morning...

3.5hr drive Bloomington to LaPorte-- 215 miles

2hr 55 min drive LaPorte to Greenfield- 170 miles

3hr 5min drive Greenfield to Heritage Hills- 165 miles

It's not even doable in a day.

Driving, no, but the same plane that went to Laporte from Bloomington this morning at 6 am, landed at Indy regional (12 northeast of the city) about an hour ago...short drive to Greenfield...

Be looking for a flight plan from Indy regional to Huntingburg airport this afternoon

Hasn't most of Duke's team entered the Portal? He probably will get that much playing time.

They have, but I'm sure Duke will be a prominent destination for the uncommitted portal kids, and they do have the #1 (high school) recruiting class coming in...

    I guess we'll see...

Ugh....Eric Gregg and the Livan Hernandez game.  I'm a Mets fan, and even I will say the Braves got robbed in that one.  His strike zone was so wide that day that he could have fit through it.

Sucking it in so far his backbone bulged with a 60s church certified girdle maybe 🙂

Thank God Ted Valentine didn't have any offspring that followed in dad's footsteps.

    Or Eric Gregg...

And if I'm in the HR department of MLB and we're hiring umpires, any resume with the last name "Hernandez" gets relegated to the circular file automatically

Aaron Boone is eventually going to die in the dugout. Gets tossed today early by home plate ump. Problem was Boone didn't say anything. You can see the guy in a blue polo shirt in first row yelling something to the ump and the ump thought it was Boone.

    SMH...Hunter Wendelstedt...Harry's kid...And just as bad...

This is pretty much what I just said...by the time it became apparent there were holes that wouldn't be filled, there weren't any difference makers to be had.  IU had enough to practice with already.

If you want to criticize Woody for anything, it would be for chasing talented guards that didn't come and then not having enough time to execute a backup plan.

It's all water under the bridge...But I'd agree with that

Maybe not injury prone but he played in 11 games in 22/23.  You think relying on him and a freshman PG as backup was a good idea?

I think Cupps was a backup to XJ and Galloway at the point, with hopes that Gunn would develop and get time at the 2, and Leal picking up spot minutes...

The point has been made by @Zlinedavid that you have to give kids, especially sophomores, a shot to develop and earn playing time...And that's true...

Woodson wasn't to blame for going into the season with an injury prone PG, Galloway and a bunch of unknowns/unproven backups?

Yea, I don't agree with that one bit.

Up until he broke his foot against Kansas, XJ had played in every game (118) at Pitt and IU and started 115 of them...That's injury prone?

And if you remember, there was talk of him coming back at the end of 20-23...so he was pretty much healed, then had a whole off season to recover as well...

And every team has unknowns/unproven backups...That's where you hope kids develop
