  1. Yessir! For your question, "There was something in the air that night, the stars were bright, Fernando." Oh my God...I'm quoting ABBA songs...
  2. Found a good one... Who is the only player to hit grand slams in consecutive innings with the same 3 players on the same bases each time?
  3. " You can't get caught smoking crack at McDonalds and get your job back!"
  4. When do you eat this one? After you've smoked some crack?
  5. I thought they did a good job, but 2 I didn't agree with...NJ pork roll over sub sandwiches (tell that one to anyone who's ever been to White House Subs) and choosing chicken fried steak over brisket for Texas...uh, no...
  6. Oh, me too. If you see a Shipley's box someone has brought in for all to enjoy at my workplace, it's rarely donuts...
  7. Kolaches... Although it is pretty much a breakfast staple here in Texas, but I'd never heard of them before I moved here... Word is, Kolaches are a Czech pastry which is normally filled with fruit...Texans said to hell with that, and stuffed it with smoked sausage, cheddar cheese, and jalapenos...Among other things...Shipley's donuts make the best I've tasted...
  8. Probably...it's a tough one though...
  9. Winner, winner, High Life dinner
  10. So playing off your question, what was the original name of the franchise that is now the Baltimore Orioles?
  11. Started watching Ken Burns' "Country Music" while on the mend from minor surgery. Through the first 6 episodes, and it is outstanding, like most of his others. My favorite episode is "The Hillbilly Shakespeare" (episode 3) which focuses on Hank Williams.
  12. Been watching Ken Burns documentary "Country Music" (which is outstanding, by the way) and Vince Gill said this about the male/female relationship... "At night it's hard to kiss the lips that have been chewing your ass all day." Pure gold...
  13. Heard Marty Schottenheimer say this on his "Football Life." "We're all useful, but none of us are necessary." Truer words...
  14. Not HH, but here's my neighbors yard this afternoon...
  15. I asked him if he was hungry... 20171021_091102_1_1.mp4 20171021_091102_1_1.mp4
  16. Good read on OAD players and the NCAA Tourney Good graphical representation that accounts for minutes played. One thing that may skew the data is, when a team has freshmen that shine in the tournament, it may spur them to go pro rather than remain in school. A "strike while the iron is hot" mentality...
  17. "I can bring to the table when it comes to Indiana (from day one) off the bench.” Don't know about anybody else, by that screams "whatever it takes to win" to me...
  18. Great read as always... You know, one guy that gets a lot of love from current, former, and in this case, prospective players is Clif Marshall. The guy is a real asset to the program. Jordan refers to him in TDH's article. I seriously hope we have him locked up for a while. He gets results.
  19. Yes, but transfers are kinda a bet the come as far as I'm concerned. Put the full court press on a recruit you like first, then if it don't work, look at transfers. Used to live in the Fort Walton Beach area, but now live in Texas. Just kept the user name from boards gone by...
  20. I think I read he had made unofficial visit to UVA, but I don't think they'd offered.
  21. I think the prevailing thought is that we need a big for this class...if Caleb Love doesn't chose IU. Next year, Brunk will be our only true center. I know some see TJD as a back-to-the-basket big man, but I personally don't. There's not much call in the NBA these days for 6-9 post up centers. And I would hate to see us back having to defend B10 bigs with 6-7 forwards again. So, in my mind, it's Garcia or Loveday, unless Love surprises us.
  22. I was gonna say the same thing...6'6" but what's the wingspan?
