We can thank "The Heidi Game" for FS1 not mercifully pulling the plug on Georgetown-Butler and showing the IU-Wisconsin tip...
Shows our age….LOL

This Georgetown-Butler game has ground to a halt.
I’ve only seen a few minutes but those minutes have been putrid.

I heard your divorce attorney isn't that good though?
Actually…. ….It’s the marriage counselor that isn’t that good.

How about a full afternoon of CBB followed by the football NC?
To quote the meaningful, deep, artistic movie Wayne’s World.
CBB all day followed by the Natty……
Schwing!!

This clearly shows there are no ramifications for blatant cheating.
Sagarins top 7 includes several of the most recent egregious cheaters. In order:
Baylor, Zags, Kansas, Arizona, Houston, PU, LSU.

FWIW (perhaps nothing LOL)

Man, our fans have to he the quickest at "bench this guy, start this guy" after every 5 minute stretch of basketball.
But at least the fans gave Woody a full 8 games before launching into him. LOL

First half
11 assists to 2 TO’s
47% from the three.
Beautiful….

That works in the NBA because it’s widely adopted by every team and the talent level drop off isn’t significant…not the case here. Id like to see Woody back off that a bit
Even though the NBA has more depth they still tend to stagger starters out. With less depth we had all 5 out at once at the 10:00 minute mark.
Aside from that……nice to hit some threes, good D and 2 turnovers is excellent.

A lot of NBA teams will run 1-2 starters with the second unit and maybe stagger them out to refresh everyone and then down the stretch of a half you’ve got all your starters back in.
In general I prefer that staggering strategy to the wholesale change we do sometimes. That being said, the hockey line change seemed to work today.

I'd say that was a good 5 minute stretch
I’m not a big fan of the hockey line changes but that 5 minutes of rest for our guys might have been a reason for the good 5 minutes when our starters came back in. The Minny guys looked just a little tired, not as quick to the ball, when our starters returned.

Man, if our PGs can hit these shots it really makes us harder to game plan for.
It would make a world of difference if 2 of X,Rob, Stewart and Kopp were a threat every game.

Thank goodness for Rob. They are essentially letting us play H.O.R.S.E

Impressed with Ben Johnson. Just a couple small things, but he's doubling off our point guards forcing them to shoot (not rocket science), but also notice he has Galloway's man picking him up immediately after change of possession so he can't get a full head of steam in transition.
Yep, and getting a roster together was impressive. After Little Ricky was let go they had a decimated roster that might have gone winless in the BT.

Hope to see us play 40 minutes, continue to play tough D and for our 1,2,3’s to hit some shots. OSU was a great, great win but our perimeter guys need to hit some shots. X,Rob, Kopp and Stewart were a combined 6-27 against OSU while Galloway was 3-5 and Bates 0-2….ouch.
Need to take some pressure off TJD. -
Miami wins even though they had to sit Moore for a while due to a BS foul call. Miami’s passing and cutting to the hoop was impressive plus they have several guys that can get their own shot. Big win for Jim L.

Duke is in trouble at Cameron so the refs are getting to work.

I can't see how it will hurt because you couldn't get worse than last year.
Are you saying it’s hard to have less than zero conference wins?
-
It’s going to be interesting to see how we do next season. New OC, new DC, new DL coach, 20 guys have left via the portal since August, great class coming in (assume most will not contribute next year) and a number of incoming transfers. Lot of changes for a team that did not lose their HC.
Is it good or worrisome? Who knows, but after going winless in the conference change was needed, hopefully for the better.

Announcers said Bohannon set an NCAA record tonight for most games played by an NCAA men’s basketball player. I’ll never forget the pictures of him setting up his 8-track in his dorm room.
