CMW is hoping for one or two:

So those guys have that opportunity because I have offered them scholarships and I do want them here man. I just gotta keep recruiting them. I can’t quit. And hopefully one or two will say ‘yes I’m coming.'”

I wonder if the “cant quit recruiting them has anything to do with him dropping the ball on Liam

To me, a good interviewer doesn’t talk more than his guest, and doesn’t take longer to ask a question than the guest needs to answer it.  Coyle and Alex Bozich both have that problem.

Yes and how do you forget a question you asked because he lost a connection for a short amount of time. And he stutters and fumbles through his questions so much

Pretty much anyone can do this type of stuff and I don't mean to begrudge legitimate reporting, sport journalism or media personalities. But if you really had the passion to do this all the time and weren't concerned with making a living, the barriers to entry are pretty low. I think my friends/relatives and myself could probably provide as much insight and information as some of these podcasts and other "shows". To repeat again, there are some guys doing legitimately great work, then there are some doing not such great stuff.  And I am not really referring to Jim since I haven't really listened or watched much of his stuff. And I am not saying it's easy by any stretch, just that anyone can jump in if they really wanted to.

    I totally agree!

Would IU take Moreno, Haralson,  Mullins and Sisley if all want to commit right now?? I would hope so but I am not sure. I think Woody likes the portal too much to fill a big chunk of the roster with incoming Freshman. What are your thoughts on that.

Personally I think that class would be the exception especially because he probably still gets 3-4 in the portal regardless. After 2025 he probably only tries to get 2-3 high school players max a year.

I saw that reply and am like X just isn't throwing stuff out there. For the kids sake and ours I hope he finally gets a chance to showcase himself. Has to be brutal sitting this long.

Yes 1000%. I do think it’s beneficial in the sense that it’s a free year to sit back learn the system and not feel overwhelmed by learning by fire.

Mr.A.Leal says Woody has filled his team. Going with 12. You can say the 13th is not important until it is. You can't teach old dogs new tricks even if they get slapped in the face. That being said, i will be hoping for an injury free season. Amen.

I agree but I also think this is an absolute much deeper team this year compared to last year.

Interesting the article puts us 10th. Their actual rankings have us #2 behind only Arkansas.

We are second in portal overall but this is different because it scores it differently. I don’t know how they have Mason Gillis ranked over either of our guards though. Just because he’s experienced doesn’t mean he’s good so it’s hard for me to trust this article for that alone.

I don't see as many AAU games as Coyle or Rabijohns but I see my share and I occasionally knock a couple back with an NIL contributor. With those meager credentials I know the following:

Next year the idea is to get 5 high school kids. Tiller, Mullins, Moreno, Sisley, Darius Adam's  are the current early favorites. Harrelson is unlikely. Nike circuit kids, rule of thumb, are much bigger pains in the a55 to close on and if we're going to pay for one it'll be one of Rosemonds guys bc he can deliver..to paraphrase.

Who is one of Rosemonds guys?

Just my opinion, but he will be a better college basketball player than Cupps.

Braylon is more than just a shooter. He straight up dunked on somebody in one of his recent games and went between the legs in warmups. He needs to add more weight before I would feel confident saying he makes true impact as a freshman.

I think he will be a very good player. Should be IU’s top in-state target other than Haralson, IMO.

    Appreciate the insight

Any pure shooter. I've only watched him play once and it wasn't the best competition. I'd say you can pick any of the following examples. Bigger Jordy Hulls, honestly Goode, for the slightly older crowd Hornsby....Matt Roth, Nick Z....any of those guys.

Maybe others who have watched can help better than I.

So he’s way better than Cupps and bigger too? Like he could make a true impact as a freshman?

I can't get a read on JH either but 1 of 3 things can happen. Rice/Carlyle play so well they leave and we are in a position to either 1) Get best portal guards again, 2) Show Haralson or other recruits why he/they  should come here or 3) Rice/Carlyle play really well but not well enough to go pro and we return an extremely talented and seasoned backcourt.

Don't see a ton of downside in our backcourt in coming 2 years.

    Who does Mullins comp to?
