  1. I would vote for dressing as a pilgrim and walking through town but realized I do that on almost every Thursday throughout the year, so I chose gathering with friends and family (since we do thanksgiving with my side of the family 😎). Although eating is definitely up there.
  2. We aren't big turkey fans in my family, so I'm smoking a 14 pound brisket this year. It's going to be a balmy 44 degrees here tomorrow when I start it. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.
  3. I hope I am not right as well. It is just a gut feeling, but I can very easily see it happening. Staff is definitely going to be important, especially if they bring in someone like Canada/Frye etc. with no head coaching experience. We all watched what happened the last few years at IU once DeBoer left for Washington. If it is true Dolson can spend 7-9 million on head coach, I hope he is spending big on coordinators/assistants as well.
  4. If Chris on BTB is correct and they offer new coach 7-9 million salary plus major facility upgrades, I would hope they could lure someone decent. However, I have a feeling Dolson will go after a bigger name or two and get rebuffed and then settle. My gut is thinking Dolson will end up hiring Matt Canada. He just lost his job with Steelers, has the IU connection, and would most likely take the job. It wouldn't be my ideal choice, but I can easily see it happening.
  5. I see later in season they have Green Bay vs giants 😬
  6. You are probably correct. I just had it in my head they did it for Monday nights as well.
  7. When does the Monday night flex start? For some reason, I thought it was Thanksgiving week, but I see Bears vs Vikings are on Monday...
  8. I will be alright…I plan on laying on the couch watching football all day! 😀
  9. Got Covid and flu shots yesterday morning. Did a bunch of yardwork afterwards and just had sore arm. Started feeling "blah" closer to bedtime and spent the night tossing and turning with sweats/chills/headache/bodyache etc. Took long hot shower this morning but still feeling crappy. Two years ago when I got them both at the same time I felt sick for two days, but last year when I just got Covid shot I was fine. I believe this is the last time I'm getting both at once. Screw Travis Kelce!!
  10. I used to like Taco Bell back in the day. Now I put it in the same class as White Castle...It sounds good about once every 6 months...and that is about it.
  11. Call me crazy, but I'm not interested in signing Bellinger long term. I'm just not convinced that contract will age well.
  12. You have to look at the bright side...it was a good week for the Bears. They beat Carolina and Arizona won...so Carolina is now all by themselves with 1 win. It's looking good for the #1 pick!
  13. All of this arguing over which QB is better just makes me glad the Bears have their quarterback situation so well under control.
  14. I think he would be good for a few years before he would wear out his welcome...however, I think he could accomplish quite a bit in those years before he would be shown the door. The Bears are on organization that needs a shakeup desperately, and he could provide that in my opinion.
  15. IU offense might have to score 50 to win this one the way the D is playing.
  16. Michigan is not on an island with this. Michigan reportedly has evidence that Purdue, Rutgers, and OSU were sharing Michigan's signals as well. It is happening all over, not just in Ann Arbor. Compare this to the cesspool that occurred at MSU and Penn State, and to me it is small potatoes. Fine Michigan and be done with it.
  17. I wanted Harbaugh before they hired Eberflus, long before any of this came out. Even so, as others have already pointed out in the other thread, I really don't think what Michigan did was a big deal. Either way, I'm sure the McCaskeys would never hire Harbaugh regardless, due to his personality.
  18. I really wish that the Bears would take a page from the Cubs and use this Michigan/Harbaugh fiasco opportunity to lure him back to the NFL. He has already shown he has interest in returning, I would venture to guess this suspension situation has fueled his desire to leave the college ranks more. Bears/Harbaugh seem like such a good fit at this time...except I know it will not happen, because, well McCaskeys.
  19. I like Bagent…as a backup QB. I actually want the Bears to keep him around as backup next season despite whatever happens with their starting slot. but yeah…he has not been very good tonight.
