I have several places in northwest Indiana and Chicago that I love...but we haven't found a lot around us that we really like so we went with homemade...

Depending on my mood, I do it either the way you mentioned or I strip them down and wrap in foil after I butter and salt and pepper them. Both are really good on the grill.

Yep...so far I have liked it quite a bit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a smoker...I had to cut off the very end of the spare rib to make it fit (they were not completely thawed out after sitting in the fridge overnight). I had the pleasure of cleaning it out this morning ha. On a side note...anybody who has a Meijer near them...I saw they are having pork shoulders for .99 a pound in the upcoming ad.

Smoked a baby back and spare rib rack yesterday. Turned out great...used cherry/hickory wood. Also grilled corn on the cob to go with it. I always forget to take finished photos...but here is one mid cook.

So...kids distracted me from taking pics of finished product...the beef was decent but not as good as the pulled pork or ribs I made in the last few weeks.

We were surprised to have some blueberries this year from a few blueberry bushes we planted last summer. Also got the first yellow squash this week along with some cherry tomatoes. We have tomato plants about 4-5 feet tall night now and flowering like crazy. Also cucumbers, zucchini, and pumpkins are all flowering. Hoping to have some bigger tomatoes ripen in a week or two.
