  1. If a cop tells you to exit your vehicle because you're under arrest it means exactly what you think it means. Again, don't overthink this.
  2. Is that something you're proud of? What's your point?
  3. Irrespective, he was given a command to exit the vehicle as he was being placed under arrest. He refused. His window was subsequently broken after refusing. Again, not hard.
  4. Anybody defending MM clearly has an agenda with law enforcement. I'm sure MM is a good kid at heart but this was a pure act of entitlement. What is it that kids say these days, "F*** around and Find Out"? That's exactly what happened here, hopefully he learns from it but there's no excuse for his behavior. Officers were well within their means to arrest him and gave him more than enough chances. Shocked it took 15 minutes disobeying lawful commands before finally being placed under arrest.
  5. He only moved his vehicle AFTER they informed him he was being arrested. You don't get to decide when to comply with law enforcement. They gave him 15 full minutes to leave the property (which was 14 minutes and 30 seconds to long I may add) and only moved once they told him he was under arrest. That isn't how things work in these situations...ever.
  6. Oh? You seemed to be. You asked why he got arrested I thought?
  7. So they should still be sitting in the parking lot this morning asking him to exit the vehicle? I'm not sure what other choice the police had?
  8. “On October 22nd at approximately 2:15 a.m., officers responded to Taco Bell, located at 3001 E Third Street, in reference to a man refusing to leave the property. Upon arrival, officers were advised by Taco Bell management that they were refusing service to the man in a vehicle in the drive-thru due to him cursing at and being rude to employees. Officers made contact with the man, who refused to identify himself but told officers that he was 18-years-old. The man was later identified as Mackenzie Mgbako. Officers asked Mgbako to move his vehicle from the drive-thru line, which he agreed to do and moved the vehicle into a parking space in the Taco Bell lot. Upon speaking further with management, they requested that officers tell Mgbako to leave the property. Officers explained to Mgbako that he needed to leave the property and he refused to do so and kept the windows closed on his vehicle. At one point, Mgbako began to drive out of the lot, but then reversed his vehicle and parked again in a parking space on Taco Bell property. He was told repeatedly that he needed to leave the property by officers, but failed to comply and stayed on Taco Bell property for approximately 15 minutes. “Officers determined that Mgbako would be arrested for trespassing, but he then moved his vehicle to a nearby lot and parked again. Officers approached his vehicle and advised him that he was under arrest and that he needed to exit his vehicle, but he refused to do so. Officers had to use a baton to break the passenger side window of the vehicle to unlock the doors. Upon opening the driver’s door, Mgbako was given commands to exit the driver’s seat, but he refused to do so. Officers had to forcibly remove him from the vehicle and he tensed his arms and would not allow officers to secure him in handcuffs. Officers were able to eventually place him in handcuffs and he was then transported to the Monroe County Jail, where he was remanded for criminal trespass, class A misdemeanor, and resisting law enforcement, class A misdemeanor.” Not really sure what is hard to understand?
  9. Because they were going to arrest him for criminal trespass after he failed to leave private property after repeatedly being told to leave.
  10. He was lawfully ordered off the premises, left the property, returned to said property, was given a second chance to leave, didn't comply, was lawfully ordered out of the vehicle, resisted, and was finally arrested. Don't overthink this.
  11. Jesus dude. The fact that the police had to be called to remove him from the property speaks for itself.
  12. Outside Queen, I would be surprised if IU has been in contact with any of those other three in weeks, if not months.
  13. He was a freelancer and that would create a template and graphics for recruits to use to announce certain events. Obviously On3 saw that as a moneymaking opportunity and brought him on board for his exclusivity.
  14. I don't know how much basketball background Tipton actually has. He's a talented and savvy tech guy with a great business model who parlayed that into a gig with On3. Whoever runs the Trilly account, and I'm not convinced it isn't a collection of people, seems to be somebody with an actual basketball background.
  15. I'm just saying that I believe Joe Tipton will be the one behind Boogie's announcement video, he's the one that released the graphic entailing his commitment date. No clue if he tips off guys like Slater or Cassidy or whomever in the industry. But I wouldn't think he's that dumb. He's got a good gig going for him.
  16. Guessing it's Joe Tipton at On3 who initially revealed his commitment date.
  17. Why? It's a business decision at the end of the day. Plenty of decisions are made with the head rather than the heart. Happens in every aspect of life.
  18. Chris over at BTown Banners has walked back his nearly IU lock prediction closer to a 50/50 chance citing Jasper Johnson's decision to not re-classify as more ammo for UK. My personal opinion is that he wants to go to UK but knows in his head IU is the better fit/opportunity. We'll know more Friday.
  19. I think this has a lot more to do with pitching Queen the idea of coming to IU to play with soon to be committed Liam McNeeley than it is selling McNeeley on coming to IU. There's been little movement on Kansas' side that suggests they are a real contender. Them likely landing Passmore later today all but furthers that.
  20. Exactly. Self’s entire pitch to Liam is come play (potentially) with Flagg. I don’t think Flagg is anywhere close to being ready to commit.
  21. And for obvious reasons. The NFL restricts draft eligibility three years removed from high school. Getting paid over a set period of time becomes a much bigger factor in football given the NFL doesn't draft on potential and contracts aren't guaranteed. NIL obviously plays a part in basketball recruiting, but for a one and done type kid who is going to spend 6 months on campus, it's all about fit and committing to a coach/program who is going to put you in the best position at the next level.
  22. Filipkowski struggled early and really came on at the end. Filipkowski is in a unique position where he is one of the few guys who actually stands a chance of improving his stock by coming back. Filipkowski was probably a late first round pick last year, mid-first rounder at best. Think he stands a chance of getting drafted top 10 if he has a really good year. Lively was drafted strictly on size and potential. Had he come back to Duke and had another meh year he risks falling out of the first round altogether.
