  1. Yes I was speaking to past, sorry for confusion. IU's had at least 2 chances to hire him (2017 and 2021). Could have cut bait with Crean after the 2014 season and hired him coming off his-show cause then.
  2. He would be in Bloomington right now if IU had contacted Pearl or anyone associated with Pearl. They haven't, that's why he's still at Auburn.
  3. There's no way IU has reached out to Pearl because he's still at Auburn.
  4. Pearl at 63 has shown more life and energy on the sideline in a single half than our last two coaches combined over the duration of their tenures. He's the perfect fit and personality for this job. Oh yeah, he can coach too.
  5. I thought he was openly campaigning for the IU job both in his pre and post game pressers after they whooped our butt last month. I haven't seen a coach speak so highly of an average program in quite some time. He knows he can re-build IU, just needs a chance.
  6. Dusty May would be an upgrade I guess but that isn't saying much. Just hire Pearl or Beard so they can at least say they pretend to care.
  7. .500? We won’t win another road game this year and have 3-4 more home losses. We might not finish dead last but this team will be playing on Wed of the BTT.
  8. The tournament? There’s more than a chance this team finishes dead last in the B10. This is the type of game that loses a locker room, and we weren’t very good to begin with.
  9. My oldest is 24. Told him 5 years ago as a freshman at IU that it’s a damn shame he’ll likely never get to see IU as an elite program. I think the self-inflicted damage is far too reversible.
  10. Single most gutless performance I’ve seen in 52 years. I’ve seen some undermanned IU teams play bad but tonight was the most embarrassing, pathetic display of basketball I’ve seen maybe ever as an IU fan.
  11. You can’t grab a guy with two hands from behind without making a play on the ball. That’s text book. The lack of situational awareness to foul with 4 seconds left on the shot clock is astounding.
  12. We are without a doubt the dumbest team in college basketball. Comical at this point.
  13. Staff shouldn’t be around long enough to offer anymore scholarships. Sickening the depths to which this program has fallen.
  14. ND offered last night. I think he’s a very similar player to Sisley, could mean a lot of different things as ND is pushing hard for both Mullins and Sisley as a package deal.
  15. What they told him he wasn't good enough to play on their top team? Lol, not shocking, he isn't. Their 2025 team is loaded with legitimate high major prospects.
  16. Mullins plays on an elite AAU circuit against elite competition. Benter plays for an AAU team that sends kids to NAIA and D3 programs.
  17. 100% chance he redshirts. He's nowhere close to being physically or athletically ready to play in the B10 and may never be. Really good high school player playing in a lower division against lesser competition. It happens. Guessing after this year, the next time you hear Benter's name it will be as a visiting player for someone like Marian or Bethel in an exhibition game.
  18. I guess we'll revisit this in two years when he transfers to UIndy because he can't get off the bench.
  19. Cool. Benter isn't a better player than Sisley or Mullins.
  20. I have heard from my one connection (Indiana Elite) to the AAU world that Sisley and Mullins as a package deal is a very real thing and why Notre Dame should be seen as a major player in both Mullins and Sisley's recruitments. Purdue doesn't have room for Mullins unless they make room for him and that doesn't really appear to be Painter's MO.
  21. Was told by a Cathedral fan that he has a brother currently at IU. Sat behind Jake Davis (Mercer) the last two years and shared a front court with Xavier Booker and Jaron Tibbs who are both P5 athletes. Was a lot more bouncier in person than what I’ve seen on highlight tapes. He’ll be a high major player somewhere.
  22. Went to the Cathedral-Carmel game last night. Koehler was by far and away the best player on the floor and took Carmel to the woodshed. I know he had a good game but didn’t realize how good until I saw Kyle’s tweet.
  23. Shrewsberry is really pushing for Mullins.
