  1. I can't remember if it was after the Stevens deal or the site breaking. Either way, a few people here gave him heck for relaying what he was told. My interpretation of his source was a booster. It sure sounded like all the boosters and even old players were hearing Stevens was a legit possibility. I think he can blend in over a btb because they have gotten larger and they have 2-3 other guys bringing tidbits.
  2. Had to have been. My brother's sister in law had a horrible respiratory deal in February 20 that almost hospitalized her. Loss of smell and taste, fever, fatigue. They are all convinced that was it. Oh the documentaries that will come out about this one day. Meanwhile, what are we doing about the origin and source of the virus??? It's been basically common knowledge from almost day one where this came from. How do they get a free pass? I guess the economics of retaliation isn't worth it. How do you retaliate? Maybe you can't prove it was on purpose? China has a sick regime. This virus targeted the weakest, oldest, and sickest. China has no problem eliminating their own if it benefits them. Just leaves me shaking my head.
  3. Just thought of this. She said positive flu cases are way way way down. And yes they are testing, my brother asked specifically. She said that looking back late 2019 through late February of 2020 they were swamped with flu like symptoms but people were negative for flu. She believes it was here at least 3-4 months before it really exploded in March.
  4. I sat with a very interesting couple tonight at my cousin's rehearsal dinner. They are both young and healthy nurses in the hospital down here in Texas. What they told me was wild. Heart breaking. Day to day changes. Patients going from perfectly stable to nearly coding or going into respiratory failure in 20 mins time. That went on for 2-3 hard months. Treatments that were working last week quit working the next week. Everything about the virus and how different people were reacting was totally different. They said the media is total BS to reality on a covid floor. They were an open book. She was working 14 days on 2 days off, 12-15 hour shifts. His load wasn't as crazy but close. They were selected to work the covid floor because they were young and healthy. Now they said when they do get a covid patient the severity is way less. They did wind up hospitalizing some of their own. She never got it but he did. We could have kept talked but they started taking pictures and everyone started leaving. They said the hardest part was not allowing family in and then they started doing 15 min, 1 family member visit when they knew the writing was on the wall. I didn't ask how many died there but they talked about doing cpr and intubating multiple patients a day for weeks at the peak.
  5. Interesting. Manley went to pickerington central and Hunter went to north.
  6. Effort and attitude can help. I wouldn't overate his athleticism though. He is no Troy Williams. I also wouldn't want him guarding most points or bigs.
  7. "I think they got to play harder" Love it. If everything thing coach is saying, materializes, we as fans are going to love this journey.
  8. Dumb reporter, "Hey Coach, how long does it take to build a culture?" Coach Woodson, "I am the culture."
  9. It's interesting that Turgeon of all people is getting benefit of the doubt. I must not be paying close enough attention. Is Maryland supposed to be that good?
  10. Does anyone think coaches and administrators across the league are too proud to admit that the 20 game schedule is stupid? They may admit it but not on record or publicly.
  11. If I remember correctly AD never took a shot outside 3 feet, at least the 2 times IU played him. He was an amazing college player that just had an incredible knack for the ball.
  12. This aged well. Wrong again Purdue Mike.
  13. Best wishes Jerome. Hope you stay healthy and can make a little money playing a sport. Get that degree young man.
  14. Gotta love this. Stud 5 star staying home to play for dad, spurns duke and Virginia in the process. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/31432017/five-star-recruit-patrick-baldwin-play-father-milwaukee
  15. Well maybe Romeo will get a little more opportunity. See what he makes of it.
  16. Maybe put it out on facebook marketplace or nextdoor app that you are looking to trade.
  17. Some state just recently passed 'firing squad' as a means of death penalty.
  18. I knew a small time horse trainer. He was a high level athletic trainer just breaking into horse training. Humongous money. He said he knew historically horse racing was basically athlete slavery and experimentation. Steroids and amphetamines were very standard practice. If there are no stories or documentaries on it I would be shocked. I grew up near Louisville and I always was understanding it was common knowledge there was drugs, doping, etc in horse racing. This article even mentions frog venom and Viagra. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/09/sports/horse-racing-doping.html
  19. Love ratties. We sadly had to re-home ours after the baby came. We took him to training, tried meds, he was just a nervous wreck, snipped at my son a few times. I love their stance. Awesome tough little dogs.
  20. 1st vaccinated buddy of mine tests positive. My theory on this super low .008 infected vaccinated people number is that most are no longer getting tested thinking well it's just allergies. He actually went and got tested because of one day of fever. Again. I was around him a ton.
  21. I'm torn on how it appears the staff is looking to use scholarships with this class in particular. Because of the free year and the one time transfer year, for at least the next 3 years there is going to be tremendous transfer talent available. Guys more mature and potentially just as talented as anyone not in the top 50 or even lower. Guys that would be start now material at any big time program. Do y'all think IU will still fish the portal in future off seasons but fill the roster mostly with freshman? Not sure how we will keep up experience wise without portal supplements the next few years.
  22. And Sabonis with 20, 10, 10 nearing the half.
  23. I quit counting around 30 known exposures. About 70% of the guys at my firehouse have wound up testing positive. There has to be something to it. My dad as well. He's on the worship team at church. Out of 7 or 8 people, everyone got covid except my dad. I don't think I have a great immune system by any means. I don't get great sleep. I eat generally healthy. Same for my dad.
