  1. Didn't want to start a new thread just for this, but FYI, the IU ticket office is NOT handling any tix for the Auburn game in Atlanta. Tix are available on 8/15 on the promoters website. https://holidayhoopsgiving.com/college-pre-sale/
  2. Would like to see the "difference" if he was "at ease" in the 2nd pic
  3. Gee...there's a surprise !!! Promises made to get them to sign a binding LOI, and then renigg on your promise. How could that happen???
  4. Try re-lighting the pilot light tonite, yourself. Probably have to push in a knob to get the gas flowing again. Hold it in and light a match or hand held propane lighter and try to light pilot. Keep holding the gas knob in for 30 seconds if it lights, and release it slowly. Could have just been an air pocket in your gas line. Doesn't take much to extinguish a pilot light. If this works, I just saved you $100 service call. If it doesn't....the repair guy won't charge you any more.
  5. General rule of thumb... Don't buy an appliance with all the bells and whistles, or the latest/greatest model. More stuff to go wrong, break, computer locks up, etc. Repairs on these are the most expensive. I tend to buy the middle, to one step below middle (not the lowest) model of appliance without the bells and whistles. Have had very good luck for the most part on longevity for all types of appliances & water heaters. But....did have an issue with a Whirlpool frig recently. 5 years old, and the main evaporator coil goes out. Repair guy wants $1500 to replace it and inspect the rest of the frig. (there isn't anything else on the frig except the compressor to inspect @!*!+!%) I bought the evap coil from Whirlpool (only $80 by the way) and a friend came down and helped me install it. Cost me an extra $4 for the can of refrigerant I had to add to the system. Been working great now for almost a year.
  6. They're waiting on their bid from the European conference...to see which is better.
  7. Just found out that I have a case of sciatica (along with 14 million other people). Have some compression of the spine in the lower back. My hamstring hurts like hell all of the time. Hope I don't have to have back surgery. Wife went thru that and it was a year long recovery for her. Having MRI on Friday to get an "up close and personal" view of the issue. It's a bitch getting old, but I guess it beats the alternative...
  8. I recently re-watched a 3 part mini-movie series....Atlas Shrugged. Read the book 10 years ago, but when the movie series came out had to go see it. The actors change from part 1 to part 2 to part 3, but the characters are the same.
  9. Not F-ing likely !! Esp in downtown Atlanta on a Sat nite !
  10. You're the 2nd person that's mentioned that. I'll have to check into it. Sounds like a good idea on the surface. Unless of course, the game starts at 8 pm. Might not be able to get back to where I started if it doesn't run 24/7
  11. Haven't found any prices yet. Not looking real hard at this point, but probably will next month. Was thinking of calling the IU ticket office next week.
  12. Doing some skunk work on the Auburn game, and ESPN posted that they will be doing the game from the State Farm Arena. No time set yet. Still thinking of going over to that game rather than coming up to B-town for a cupcake game up there during Christmas break. I think the Auburn game will be super competitive. Parking rates in downtown Atlanta are astronomical ! Up to $50 for events. $15 if you want to walk 1½ miles (each way)
  13. At first glance, it looks like the dolly is on the ground behind the cart. Took me a minute as well.
  14. I just looked at the schedule, and it doesn't give a location in Atlanta for the IU/Auburn game. Is it at the State Farm arena? It's only a 3 hour drive for me, and I might just try to go to it.
  15. I think we'll drop the Auburn game too because they have more guys back than was anticipated. We've got a bunch of new pieces to put together, the game is really early in the season, and it's essentially a home game for Auburn. 90 minutes to Atlanta from Auburn. 8 hours for Hoosiers. It will definitely be an Auburn crowd. IIRC, it's our first "away" game even though it's considered neutral site...BS.
  16. Just took a look at the non-conf schedule, and the order of the games. I think we go 6-3 for the non-conf. Maybe...7-2. 5-4 I'd be really disappointed. Kansas & Auburn will be very tough. NYC games will be equally as tough IMO.
  17. Couple of things to try: Check the voltage at all your connections inside the control box and pressure switch. Make sure you're getting all the volts you're supposed to. (110 or 220 depending on your pump) Also check your ground wires for tightness. Your diaphragm may have a hole in it (from age) thus not keeping pressure. Hook up a temporary tank and see if it holds pressure any better. That would indicate if you have a tank problem or a pump problem. And finally, inspect your ground (like dirt) from your pressure tank to the well head. If you have a broken pipe, that would also affect your pressure. If there is a wet spot, you might have a cracked pipe.
  18. Thanx...wasn't aware of that aspect of it. So there are several hundred kids who entered the portal, didn't find a new team, and are "out on the street" at this point? (assuming coach doesn't want them back)
