Another way to look at it: The reason you can keep adding high draft picks around him year after year is the same reason that he isn’t the guy: he doesn’t win.

Pittman has Ballard over the barrel now. They have so few weapons without him, as we saw a couple weeks back.

Maybe you don’t put your entire season in the hands of a guy who has been on active roster for less than a month.

So we need OT, a CB1 and a WR1. Agree to disagree on having a stud edge. And S, LB, and RB if Moss leaves. No game breakers at TE either.

Ballard isn’t terrible, he’s just the definition of mediocre: .500 record, no division titles in 7 years, ONE playoff win in 7 years… Had a chance to move up in the draft for a generational quarterback and instead he sat on his hands and our division rivals got him and we get to play against him 30+ times… I would give him one more year to win a division, win a 2nd playoff game, and address the glaring holes at the most important positions on a football team.

Luckily for Ballard, he nailed the HC and QB picks. That will buy him time.
