  1. Zero chance IU could talk with Sherrod Moore right? Figure he is in line for the Michigan job if Harbaugh is out or leaves. But man I love that guy, his passion is clear.
  2. I listed him weeks ago, even created a topic about it. He would be a home run but no way they hire him unless the president backs it.
  3. I don’t disagree but it’s a start. As was said above a plan needs to be in place for NIL and facilities as well. I get it’s a tall order but let me dream for a few days before they hire a non power 5 coach lol
  4. Dolson made the first right choice. Now let’s see what he does with the second.
  5. This is a great point. Again shows he would need a really solid staff to support him. I know a few years ago a coach did both jobs at the same time. If ARE is willing then maybe that?
  6. Exactly! Time to take a non IU football approach to this hire. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
  7. This thinking is the exact problem. IU has the BIG money to make a non IU selection, they need the balls to spend and also Dolson needs to sell the future of IU football to a new coach. Really pivotal moment for IU football and IU athletics.
  8. I want a proven coach, but if you hire ARE you have to go cheaper on him and spend crazy on the assistants. That’s the only way I could possibly see him working.
  9. The thing about the Stanford loss was it was early and I am sure coach has already made adjustments based off that. I really like the women’s OOC schedule and akin it to how the men’s MSU team always plays stiff competition early. Every year they lose some of those games and each year they’re the best men’s BIG team. I can see CTM have that equate to success in the post season as well.
  10. They have to at least try. This is what I have been saying, to compete in the 2024 new BIG they have to show a commitment like they have never given. I appreciate you all relaying what’s on BTB as I don’t frequent there much.
  11. Tried to setup a poll but didn’t seem to work. Ignore who would be coach, though can’t ignore the buyout, curious how many think Allen is fired after the bucket game? I feel like it’s a 1/3 chance, as much as I think a change needs to be made. Might change if it’s not a competitive Bucket game, but maybe to 50% at most.
  12. Never said he would come, said that’s what IU needs to do to compete in the BIG. Time to spend that money from the BIg or get left behind. IU will keep doing what they do and hire a no name probably but feel free to spin what I say to get likes.
  13. Ok, I think we need to let the team get a few more games under their belts and let the coaches adjust and make some changes if possible. It’s still early, a lot can change over the course of the season. Not saying it will but it’s early.
  14. Solid call, worth a serious look for sure.
  15. They both make less than what any BIG ten team could easily pay. Commitment in salaries, NIL, and facilities could make it happen. My point it at least try and see. You say step down but why not take a chance, IU never has. They probably will say not but push the envelope and see what happens.
  16. I have listed a list quite a few coaches over the last few weeks, but frankly you asked the real question. What is IU willing to pay and frankly I don’t think they’re committed to spending what they need. But personally would love to see Utah coach or Kansas coach. Anyone that is with a program on the rise in power 5 that doesn’t have the money the BIG or SEC has in its TV coffers. But frankly you just called out the issue above, IU won’t spend so I should just stop preaching about it and keep opining on what could be if they did.
  17. That doesn’t create a foundation of winning. So I guess we should keep CTA because he had 2-3 years of winning…
  18. Ballsy 4th and 1 there. Solid push and conversion.
  19. Money talks and a clear commitment to winning. Lots of coaches still battling to get their full needs met including Lincoln Riley. No chance we get him just using him as an example of a coach complaining about facilities at USC. Maybe they don’t get anyone but need to take a chance and make a big offer with a full package. Why be so pessimistic, I would rather try and fail then at least they gave it a shot at a more proven option.
